I stopped in today for a quick lunch and sat at the bar. I was quickly greeted by a smiling server named Deborah. I was craving a hamburger and she made a suggestion of their all American and it was fabulous! To top it off they have homemade pickles that really made the burger for me. This is not just... More

Never really great but on the other hand never awful just ehh. But today took the cake got there as they were opening about 11 am for brunch. For starters no milk... More

I am speechless reading this review. Our weekend brunches are our busiest day shifts of the week. We have been blessed to be especially busy on Sundays. Did you ask to speak with me or the manager on duty? I am always accessible to my guests and personally do my best to make certain each and everyone has a pleasant... More

We had a very good waitress named Angel and an excellent lunch. My crab stew was a little on the cold side but the calamari was wonderful. My wife said her shrimp salad was the best she had in our six days.

We sat by the windows overlooking a small pond and waterfall. Eggs Benedict with bacon, were done just the way I like them, Husband had restaurant favorite Shrimp and Grits. Very tasty. Good attentive service, and a couple of friendly cats to greet us in the parking lot.

Food is fresh and hot. The soup specials are very good especially the chicken noodle. Sitting on the porch gives you great views of the neighborhood cats😄

Comfortable setting. Good service. Watering hole for local seniors. Ordered the catch of the day, grouper. Not like any grouper we have ever seen or tasted. It was reminiscent of Long John Silvers so we were very disappointed and would not recommend.

Thanks for stopping in. I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your meal. We buy fresh fish from many local fishermen and am not sure what could have gone wrong on your visit. I have not ever eaten at Long John Silvers, so I have no idea what they serve, but they must be doing something right to... More

We ate at the Driftaway Café on our day trip between the Bonaventure Cemetery tour and on the way to Wormsloe. The four of us had a salmon sandwich, chicken pesto wrap, Greek gyro and a Cuban sandwich. The Cuban sandwich seemed to be short on protein. The chicken pesto wrap was full of chicken, I highly recommend it. The... More

I stopped here with a group of friends for drinks and Dessert. There is not a dessert menu so I think the selections may change periodically. This night there was Miles High Chocolate Cake, Orange Dreamsicle cake, and a Salted Caramel Cake. We shared the super huge slice of chocolate cake. It was flavorful, moist and delicious. They have a... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a nice review. I will look into adding frangelica to our bar service and should have it in stock by the weekend. We truly appreciate your continued support and patronage and look forward to serving you again soon! More

Description
Driftaway Cafe specializes in "casual coastal cuisine" with an emphasis on flavor and fun!

Driftaway Cafe was created out of the desire to serve the surrounding neighborhoods and businesses fresh local seafood in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Our vision was to offer our guests a quick bite to "eat out" or the opportunity to stay and "dine" whether or not it is a quick taco with a cold beer or one of our featured nightly entrees with a nice bottle of wine. We were set to open on September 11th, 2001! What a horrible day that was for all Americans. We postponed our opening so that terrible day would not be our anniversary. Needless to say, our first year was quite a challenge, but with the support of God, friends and family we continue to strive forward everyday.

We specialize in made to order fresh local seafood dishes, fresh garden salads along with a variety of appetizers and sandwiches. Our talented Kitchen staff showcases their skills with nightly entree specials. We are known for our friendly atmosphere and our fun environment. We feature live music a few nights a week and have been blessed with a great staff and a regular repeat clientele!

Driftaway Cafe Is a locally owned restaurant located near the Wormsloe Plantation and the historic Isle of Hope. Owners, Robyn and Michele, have been in business together for the last two decades in Savannah. They work hard as a team and have developed a great staff that have been taught to treat each person that walks through the doors not as just another customer, but as a guest in their own home. They work hard to instill a passion for food, fun, flavor and family into everyone they meet!
