From the east coast enjoying the west coast, great coffee, friendly, relaxed! There is more room than you first see from the outside. Go in. There is a whole other room to sit in.

This cafe is not downtown and it is not very ostentatious, but it's wonderful. Serving Stumptown coffee and a variety of pastries, they make your drink exactly how you want it. Prices are reasonable. And plenty of room to sit. The staff are friendly and professional. I was there for 3 hours and enjoyed hearing the them greet customers by... More

This place is amazing and the staff is creative and conscientious about making sure you get that perfect cup of java . It's refreshing to have something delicious and different other than the chain coffee companies . It's a must do for a super cup of java !!

Was meeting a girlfriend of mine for coffee this morning and I chose River Maiden because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Many friends have "checked in" on Facebook to this cafe and as a coffee snob, I was curious. As soon as I walked in and saw the Stumptown sign, I knew I was in... More

These guys know how to make great coffee. They use Stumptown coffee exclusively and have 3 Stumptown cold brews on tap! Fantastic coffee and wonderful atmosphere.

My husband and I have been all over the U.S. and have never had any better coffee, this has been #1 for a few months now and we talk of it often as being the best coffee in the US this far.

Small quaint coffee house. I always have the Frappe and every time they never disappoint. Best I've had. Good place to meet friends, come solo, read a book, meet business people, first time date, bring the family. Barista's are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the products they serve owners are awesome. They also have pastries that are fabulous and locally... More

My son and his family live in Vancouver and have tried most of the coffee places in this area. River Maiden is their favorite in the Vancouver area and I agree. They use Stump beans, which are great, and the barista skills are the best. There is an art to pulling expresso and they are pros. You won't go wrong... More

So I'm an Aussie, and my wife grew up in Vancouver Washington. They say Aussies and Kiwis know coffee, and whilst I'd suck as a barista, I do drink a ton of the stuff. And the coffee here was the first place my wife took me too with a solid reco. Needless to say, the place is pretty chilled with... More

We visited this coffee shop several times during our visit to the Vancouver/Portland area. The baristas are incredibly knowledgable and friendly. The coffee concoctions are outstanding! They make a child friendly hot chocolate that the kids still talk about several days later.
