I love loose leaf tea. This is a great spot that offers a variety of options. They also make bubble tea and other types of drinks to go.

Went for lunch and called ahead the previous day to get the 'Royal Tea' reservation. The restaurant is small but seating is right near the front with lots of windows, so lots of light. The tea was great, and the staff were helpful in helping pick out what tea to have. Both of us had the honey chicken. When they... More

After moving up to Fairbanks from the lower 48 almost 7 years ago, I have been in search of a place that serves great banh mi sandwiches and either baked or steamed bao. I heard about the the delicious tea and food at Sipping Streams, so I decided to give the place a try. My trip there was a two... More

I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience. I would also be upset if the only ingredient missing was cilantro. Our banh mi sandwiches are made with hand sliced pork shoulder marinaded in garlic and shallots (homemade marinade) over night with homemade pickled and sliced daikon and carrots with cilantro and jalapenos. That's how our recipe is and what we... More

They have a full selection of teas and tea-related items. The staff is quite knowledgeable in the area of teas and their uses/benefits. The 'only' place to shop for tea in Fairbanks! Their new location is more up-scale, but I really miss there old shop in the basement.

Sipping Streams is in a new location, directly off the Parks Highway where it enters Fairbanks. Their selection of teas is exceptional. The menu has expanded and everything is made fresh. In addition to the standard tea sandwiches, they feature locally made chocolate/candy, soups, and some Asian dishes. This is a nice place to stop for a light meal, meet... More

We liked their teas when tasted at a local restaurant, so decided for a break one afternoon, to go have tea. It was difficult to find, in a basement, and the decor was mostly unexceptional. Tea was good, and there were several tea-ish to purchase, but it was not what we expected. No windows, nothing to watch, except the two... More

I was extremely disappointed km their bubble tea. I've tried it in San Fran, Seattle, plus a few other played and the tapioca balls were hard and creamy. When I quested the staff they didn't do anything. Later my friends said they make minimal wage which is why they really didn't care. I can def see that with their behavior!
