During a recent visit to Brooklyn, my daughter and I found this great Sicilian restaurant which more than lived up to its great online reviews. We started out sharing the rice ball and stuffed artichoke; both had linguini with clam sauce (me the white and...More

This is a great little gem of a restaurant! Very few places are left that serve these old fashioned Sicilian dishes. A couple of my favorites are Pasta Con Sarde and Panelle (alone or as a sandwich) but you can't go wrong with anything on...More

This restaurant still preserves the spirit of the old immigrant Brooklyn, because its history began more than a hundred years ago as a small Sicilian institution. The interior seems to be taken from the movies about New York of the last century - old photos...More

This place claims to be a Sicilian eatery with authentic Sicilian cuisine. The place is very small with original 1930s feel and look. It is very clean and I love the nostalgia about it. I was able to find street parking. It's the same food...More

I heard about this restaurant on Channel 25 (the local municipal channel). Great choice! Authentic old school atmosphere and genuinely friendly wait staff. I had the panelle sandwich (chick pea pancake) and my wife had the rice ball. The rice ball stood out because it...More

I've gone here for many, many years. Unfortunately, the standards have slipped. Panelle were greasy and had been fried in burnt tasting oil. A rice ball was drowned in sauce and cheese. Caponata was stale.

We came to Ferdinando's on a Friday night as a group of 12 for dinner and drinks.Charming historical setting, looks as if it's lifted right out of Boardwalk Empire. No TV's or overhead music, it was great to be able to just hear each other...More

The atmosphere is a small neighborhood restaurant that's been there 112 years. Almost reminds me of the restaurant in the Godfather. The servers are a little rough around the edges. However, the tomato sauce is excellent. Best Rice Balls (Arancini), and the seafood was very...More
