I have had NY bagels all over the city. I've tried to be happy with other bagels but I just can't. Only the best can be found at Bagel Hole and thus I must make the trek from LES to Brooklyn. Every month when I go into the city, I get my veggie cream cheese from Russ & Daughters but... More

Nowhere like it! The best bagel place in Brooklyn, possibly in the five boroughs. Keep in mind that only the branch on avenue J has limited seating, while the one on Coney Island and K has none. Great food, good prices, quick service. I highly recommend it.

The Bagel Hole really is a hole-in-the-wall type of establishment. SO small. No place to eat in, but worth the visit to pick up a bagel and go. You probably wouldn't want to stay anyways because the service isn't overly friendly. Better on our second visit, but no one spoke too much English on that visit, so had to communicate... More

Located in the jewish neighborhood of Brooklyn, near Prospective Park. The restaurant offers an extensive menu, with bagels starting at 1.5$ The place isn't fancy, but it's definitely the best bagel you'll ever eat ! Cheap, fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!

I've lived in NYC for almost 40 years. I've had Bagel Knosh in my college years, then moved on to H&H and sometimes an Essa Bagel, or Murray's whole wheat. I've even tried the Montreal style at Mile's End. I can tell you with a great deal of authority that the Bagel Hole blows them all out of the water...pun... More

You won't always get a straight answer but ask which flavor is hot and get that. This place does not toast which was new for me but the bagels are so fresh that it isn't needed and you get to enjoy the unique crust of a truly NY bagel.

I'm not a bagel aficionado, but being that the bagel is one of those items that is by reputation superior in New York to anywhere else, I gave this a try to see what I was missing. They make them fresh on location, and that combined with a good method makes them worthwhile. I don't know of anywhere in my... More

This tiny and modest bagel shop was a fantastic find in our son's neighborhood. The quality and prices were unbeatable. Our only disappointment was unavailability of whole grain bagels. We suspect that long lines could accumulate here at peak hours. There are no tables and limited waiting area.

Walked across Prospect Park to get here and it was worth the walk on a boiling hot day. They had no Pastrami which was a shame, but had a lox spread and beef and salmon and shallot spread and they were both fantastic. I had one on an Everything bagel, but found it a little salty for my liking. The... More
