Excellent polish food- authentic and large selection, large portions, right price and great atmosphere. You can enjoy old country decor and folk costumes. Great location, in heart of Greenpoint.

Food was delicious and atmosphere was great... Noticed that most of the patrons spoke Polish. When the customer base is as authentic as the food, it is a really good choice in my book.

My husband and I ate here tonight. We have been here several times before for lunch and always enjoy it. Tonight I had the mixed platter which comes with kielbasa, pierogies, hunter stew, a large delicious stuffed cabbage, and two delicate crunchy potato pancakes. All this for $13.00. The food is fresh and delicious. We also shared an apple pie... More

Bad food, bad staff. I order golabki and soup. Soup was not so bad but golabki was stinky, mash potato it was almost liquid.

As a Polish American girl from CT I was expecting something good from Greenpoint. I was hopeful since I took someone I am dating who is from Ecuador. Well he was very much impressed as I was. The decor is great and the staff wear authentic Polish clothing. The food is tasty and very good. Not as good as my... More

Our local host took us here when our first choice was overbooked, and were we lucky! We liked everything about this place, from the great service by the folk-costumed staff to the interesting, atypical beer list, to the wide variety of menu choices. But all those paled compared to the tastes, which, from the artisanal sausages to the pierogi, were... More

I grew up in Greenpoint and have seen so many great Polish restaurants come and go. A lot of the new ones lack the authentic charm and taste that I was used to. Karczma has been around since I can remember and has always been solid. The pierogies and chicken cutlet are delicious, but the real hero is the sauerkraut.... More

My daughters picked this one for my birthday. Being from Cleveland, the food on the menu is very familiar to me, but you don't see many places like this in NY City. Everyone was drinking Polish beer, I had a bottle of Pinot Noir from Burgundy with my Kielbasi and sauerkraut. The table order pirogi's for an appetizer. The waitresses... More
