We were just in town for one night and our group was hungry for Mexican food. We became lost looking for a different restaurant, and came across the Jalisco cafe. Are we ever glad we did. The restaurant is very big and well set up. It was a busy night but everyone was spread around and it didn't seem overly... More

We tried this place based on the good reviews, and we weren't disappointed! Our food was great with a nice amount of spiciness, good chips and salsa, and service was quick and friendly. We will definitely return if we are in Silver City again!

no excuse for the lousy service, although the three people we dealt with were all angry. from the waitress who was invisible, to the manager who begrudgingly got our refills, to another woman who rudely cashed us out, we will never go back. the food was good, but not worth the rudeness, a one is too many!

Spending a few hours at City of Rocks, we were hungry. Went to Jalisco Café. Beautiful atmosphere. Service was excellent. The chips and salsa were plentiful and the salsa was hot. We ordered the combination plates which included a chile relleno , chicken or beef taco and enchilada. Also a huge sopapilla with honey. Food was very good. Only complaint... More

We visited mid-afternoon and we had about a fifteen minute wait. The restaurant occupies what used to be three separate store fronts. It is decorated in true Mexican style. As busy as it was, the service was attentive once we were seated. I had a combination plate and my wife had chili rellenos. The portion sizes were plentiful! The food... More

The service was pleasant. The food was reasonably priced and plentiful. I had a burger with green chilies. It was tasty. For desert, I had sopapilla with honey; it was simple and delicious. There is parking for the restaurant in the back.

I arrived for a late lunch. The 'wait to be seated' sign was out, so I waited 5 minutes before anyone walked up to seat me. Not a big deal, but this place 'seats a lot' and the host was not where to be found. My waiter was great but the cuisine reminds me of American Mexican food. The salsa... More

We've eaten lunch or dinner at Jalisco's almost every time we're in Silver City. We finally tried their breakfast/brunch menu. The casual Mexican restaurant serves a few Mexican breakfast dishes, like huevos rancheros and chilaquiles, as well as traditional American-style breakfast dishes like eggs, omelets, pancakes, and French toast. So now for us, Jalisco's isn't just for lunch or dinner... More

If you like you food spicy this is the place to eat! I have a low tolerance for spicy foods but the flavor is so good that I hardly even notice the heat. If you are eating breakfast and love chicken fried steak then you have to try the one they offer. I am from Texas and Jalisco's has the... More

Jalisco restaurants are popular in southern NM- be advised Nortenos that Southern NM food is different from northern NM food. The salsa verde was fresco but for the chilis we liked the red better than the green
