Crowded for Sunday breakfast, which is probably explained by being free to travelers who stay at The Drifter Motel. That's kind of different to the usual breakfast room next to a motel office. I don't know the property's history, however I'm guessing that it is authentically mid-century. Our table came complete with a "kiss my grits" waitress. I had an... More

Great service, wide selection on menu, our breakfasts have arrived promptly and well prepared. Coffee is good, we had egg dishes with sides of meat and every time we have been here our meals were prepared to our liking. One of our two go-to breakfast places in Silver.

Obviously a local favorite and I can say we were not disappointed. Kind of a 60s type diner but with a friendly and efficient staff. The menu was pretty complete with American favorites and Southwestern fare. We were comparing the Huevos Rancheros throughout New Mexico so we both tried theirs. All the ingredients were very good with the exception of... More

Certainly not fancy or 'different', but good standard fare. Actually really good pancakes! Wait staff was friendly and prompt. No complaints really.

Ordered a cheese omelette, pancakes, and grits. The cheese omelette seems slightly overdone but ok. The pancakes, grits, and coffee were very good. About $10 for breakfast.

Drifter's is usually very full on the weekends and it's easy to see why. There is a rather large menu with a strong southwestern showing. Great food. Great service. Great prices.

My husband and I enjoyed a free breakfast at the Drifter Pancake House each morning that we stayed at the Drifter Motel. We were able to choose from a list of about six or seven breakfast choices. This is a welcome surprise from the other "free" breakfasts offered at other motels -- usually a continental breakfast or simple buffet. Here,... More

I'm a local who has eaten here numerous times over the years. Six of us had a late breakfast and my son and I met the others there. We were a little later than the rest of our group and they had already ordered when we sat down. We had to flag down the waitress to get her to stop... More

I had the Denver omelette, grits, and a hot biscuit and the best coffee. Normally I drink two cups of coffee and I am done but it was so good I drank the whole carafe. The food was excellent the salsa hot but not so hot it overpowered the flavor of the omelette. Patty who was my waitress was just... More
