My wife and I had dinner and had a great meal and service. The restaurant is on Lake Superior and has a great view. The fish was fresh and well prepared. The server helped us navigate the many choices on the menu.

I'm not a big fan of fish, but this place has good fish and chips. Combined with their unique tarter sauce, my meal became delicious. The service was terrific and the view was lovely.

We had dinner at The Angry Trout. The decor is very "fishy" and welcoming. Live plants and flowers graced the tables along with cloth napkins, items that are rare at restaurants today. Food and service was excellent. We were told about soups and specials to help aid in our selections. They had fresh whitefish and lake trout on the day... More

I like the fact this restaurant locally sources their ingredients. The food was good. That being said I have gone to other places like this elsewhere and they charge nowhere near the prices that this place does. Very overpriced food here.

Right on the lake! you can sit outdoors and enjoy the water. Very friendly staff, local beers, delicious fresh fish! Great find, remember to stop here before just heading into town

The Angry Trout Cafe has a good reputation with those folks who have frequented the Arrowhead coast of Minnesota. We revisited the Angry Trout Cafe with some friends after an absence of a number of years. The fish sandwich with waffle fries was okay - just not great. The fish seemed to be just another ho-hum measured serving from the... More

We had a perfect evening here. The food was healthy and delicious and we borrowed the binoculars from the front desk for bird watching on the lake.

Excellently prepared local fare, organic options, and plenty of gluten free variety. Plus, it's always fun to eat outside over the water. So much to love! A new Grand Marais Favorite.

This place is amazing and charming, offering great view and really cosy atmosphere. They have many different combinations of fresh fish from herring, trout, salmon, whitefish and more, which can be prepared in a variety of different ways (meal or sandwich). Well the salads are absolutely delicious, should i mention that they are also organic and with a selection of... More

The Angry Trout is a five star experience if you like to eat fish. The restaurant overlooks scenic Grand Marais harbor in all its grandeur. The star selection on the menu was the fresh netted Lake Superior Herring. I don't know of any other restaurant that serves fresh herring, especially from the waters you overlook as you eat. It is...
