Started to leave after going in. Its a small very dated restaurant with really nowhere to wait if you can't get a table right away. We had to wait in the upstairs area that felt like someone's creepy hunting cabin. Trout was very good. Watch...More

The decor is dated, no music playing... we felt we couldn't have a conversation without everyone listening in. Food was okay but nothing special. Pretty overpriced. Service was slow.

Had heard this was a great place but was disappointed. Dated decor would have been ok if food was exceptional, but the opinion of all 6 in our party is that our trout was average. Service was good, with the owners very visible and friendly.

We had dinner at the trout house last night. considering this is Gatlinburg....this place is a hidden jewel. We started dinner with a basket of hush puppies that were really delicious. Crispy on the outside and corn-breads on the inside. Miss Mary makes homemade salad...More

The meal was EXCELLENT!! leisurely dinning. We sat upstairs by the window and had a good view of the area.

The salad was really good. The fish Almondine, uh, little skimpy on the trout and heavy on Almonds, give me a thicker piece of fish so I can enjoy it. One of the few places in Gatlinburg with free parking..

After a day of hiking, this restaurant lived up to its good ratings with a great meal. Great food, pleasant staff, and a friendly owner to make you feel at home. Will definitely go back...

Food was pretty good. We all had a variation on trout. Lots of options there, but the menu does not offer a ton of other options. That's fine though. If you're going there it should be for the specialty anyway. Staff was friendly and the...More

the food here was just ok. I ordered their signature trout but the taste was bland. I wished they had cooked the trout better. The waiter was a bit cold when he saw me as an Asian but the young waitress was pretty nice.

They have so many ways to cook trout. We were here for the 63rd Annual Wildfower Pilgrimage and came back in 2017 for the 67th ~ so have tried the trout a few ways. My favorite so far is the grilled ~ Oh My!

This little restaurant is on the north end of downtown on the east side of the street. It is an easy walk, but there is plenty of free parking across the street.

Smoky Mountain Trout House prides itself on offering absolutely the freshest trout in Gatlinburg. Our trout are ice packed directly to the restaurant. Once it has arrived we take great care in our preparing your selection exactly as you like. All of the trout served in this restaurant are Rainbow Trout, grown in the sparkling clear waters of the Smokies. The purity and flavor of mountain trout offered great pleasure to the original settlers of the Smokies.
