My co-worker was raving about how great the cakes were hear so we stopped by on the way down. Place was full of people but no one was in a big hurry. Lots of choices to decide from. Everything was great and we wasn't disappointed.

Stopped at Maxie B's for dessert with friends. I was visiting my niece in Greensboro and she had been telling me I needed to go to the cake shop. Loved the atmosphere and all the choices. I enjoyed the All American chocolate cake and my niece's German chocolate. The slices are too large to finish in one sitting. To go... More

We have been here a few times for desserts and cupcakes. They do have a tremendous selection. And all are good. But I think there are better desserts, especially cupcakes (in Kernersville). And the parking lot/getting in and out of the place is a bit of a challenge.

Maxie B's is the go-to place for high-end amazing baked goods. They not only decorate the goodies beautifully but everything is delicious. They are also very supportive of local civic groups. We give their cupcakes to the nurses at the Cancer Center as Thank You goodies and the nurses love their treats. A goodie from Maxie B's will always bring... More

Arrived on a January night to find the line out the door and wrapping down the sidewalk and thought "who in their right mind would stand in line for a piece of cake?" Now I know. I had the sour cream coconut and it was amazing. I have already eaten on it twice and still have enough left for another... More

Maxie B's has so many choices of cakes. Y the slice! I love that they have all the cakes on the cake plates beautifully displayed throughout the bakery. I'm sure there is a list somewhere of the types of cake slices available but I always feel like I have to sneak around people while waiting in line to see all... More

They've done it again!! We ordered three dozen cupcakes for an event we were having; carrot cake, pink lemonade, and vanilla cake with fudge frosting. The ladies at the shop were so polite and professional (as always). The cupcakes were beautiful!! They displayed nicely and were perfectly done. I would say that they looked too good to eat but if... We had dinner out and on our way home decided to grab coffee and dessert here. There is no other place like this in Greensboro. The amount of cakes available to grab a slice are many. It is hard to choose. I tried the Devil's Food Cake. It was good, not exceptional..........and maybe a bit dry. It was the last... More

Sometimes I dream of a cake buffet. Maxie B's is that dream come true. A precious place full of cakes, cupcakes, cookies and more. I always buy a slice and cannot eat it all at one time. The cakes are very rich and high quality. So many choices that it's hard to pick just one, so get several to take... More

I was visiting family in the area and they insisted on taking me here. I am so glad they did. I was able to try a few varieties of cake, including coconut and red velvet, which were delicious! I brought back their homemade dog treats and my puppy verified they were delicious too!
