My wife has wanted to visit Smith Street for some time. Usually we are in too big of a hurry to risk standing in line as every time we have gone by it seemed there was one. But this past Saturday we agreed to stand and wait if it killed us. The wait was brief and we hit it at... More

I had been told about Smith Street Diner before visiting Greensboro and I think what sold me on this spot was their advertisement that they served biscuits the size of a cats head. And I can now verify that fact. But it wasn't just the size of the biscuit it was the OMG deliciousness that would bring me back time... More

This bustling little diner takes breakfast to a higher level by offering better quality food than an average diner. Whether you want a traditional Southern breakfast, Mexican eggs, or a bagel with salmon, there is something for all tastes. The home fries are nicely browned, full of onions, and delicious! Fresh-squeezed orange juice is available, as are apple butter and... More

My husband and I are big fans of trying some of the best rated, local restaurants here in Greensboro. Smith Street Diner was a restaurant we had had our eye on for quite some time, but every Sunday we'd ride by, there was a line waiting outside the door. One Monday a few weeks ago, we decided it was finally... More

Had breakfast here with my wife. Place was very busy around 9am on a Sat. They take your name bu due to space you must wait outside and they come and get you. No problem as it was a beautiful morning. Once seated , it was loud inside , but all was worth it. The food was awesome . Wait... More

Had not been here in a while and don't plan on going back. Had a gravy biscuit and found the biscuit to be quite large but hard and cakey.

If you love breakfast, then this place is a must visit! We lucked out on our visit and did not have to wait for our table. That is not the norm! The restaurant does not have a huge waiting area so they ask that you send in one person to add your name to the waiting list. The rest of... More

Went to eat there with my son. I had the corned beef hash breakfast which included corned beef hash, country potatoes, eggs and a king sized biscuit. The breakfast was great. My son had a cheeseburger with fries. He is kind of a cheeseburger freak. He pronounced the burger "good" but not in the Hops or Burger Warfare way. My... More

My chicken fried steak was excellent, but, my partners pork loin was greasy and tasted like it was left over and then just thrown on the grill for a few minutes. The fries and veggies were very good, the tea excellent. Service was good and friendly.
