Well I think this was our 5th trip and visit to Bali. I am losing count now as we always go to Sardine. The food, service, ambiance and experience is always amazing. You will not be disappointed. Lunch time is my favourite as the outlook...is just beautiful during the daylight hours. See photos to see what we experienced.More

A beautiful restaurant facing a paddy field. The restaurant is a bambu structure cleverly designed with local materials. The restaurant is divided into two parts by a long bar with a mural. We love the decor in the garden area, the area is well lit...and perfect for cocktails or after dinner drinks. Seafood is the main feature in the menu and lobsters are presented live before prepared.More

My fourth trip to Sardine. A beautiful restaurant. Great food and ambience. No complaints whatsoever. My 5 year old says Sardine has the best strawberry ice cream in the world. No small statement......

My wife and I went to Sardine for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and the experience was over & above our expectations. The location, architecture, decor & setting (nestled on the edge of a rice field lined by illuminated terra-cotta pots) were magnificent. The menu was...not as extensive as other similar restaurants, but the dishes we chose (scallops, clams, lobster, whole snapper & share desert) were simply delicious, washed down with a couple of cocktails to start, a Rose with the food & the best Macchiato I’ve had since Italy’s number of years ago (in face I thought it so good I ordered a 2nd one). The staff & service were excellent & although somewhat pricy, absolutely worth the experience.More

What a beautiful restaurant! We saved this one for our last dinner in Bali. While it was a perfect way to end our trip I almost wish we had gone earlier because we definitely would have gone twice. The attention to detail is amazing, their...dishes are prepared quite simply yet somehow more flavourful than most. We were truly impressed. The octopus is not to be missed, sorry there is only a pic with a fork full left haha. The sardines were delicious, smoked but not overly so. I had the bass as they were out of banana leaf for the barramundi, didn't miss it, the bass was outstanding. Hubby got the penache trio, the orzo on that dish was so good. After dinner they asked if we wanted to move to romantic little seats next to the rice paddies. What a nice touch. The desserts were so delicious! This restaurant knows what they are doing, we are so happy we went and cannot wait to go back on our next trip to Bali.More

Whilst the surroundings and ambience are beautiful, the food was ok. I had a feeling that our food was prepared. I had the fish with risotto, but the fish was not cooked right out of the pan. Not many in the restaurant, so really it...could have been still sizzling fresh on my plate. Not sure if they time and coordinate their dishes, to the table. I expected much more, especially since it is one of the pricier restaurants in Seminyak. We arrived earlier, so we could see the beautiful paddy fields. Lots of staff on, but they do tend to be hovering over you and watching you eat. Bit too much! Ready to whip your plate away, before you have swallowed. Also, a bit rude if others on your table are still eating their dinner. I would recommend a visit to see the rice paddies. I felt a bit expensive and over rated.More

Visited this beautiful restaurant on our first night in Bali. We sat overlooking the rice field - this restaurant is famous for its stunning rice field views, so make sure you get a chance to explore the field during your visit. The cocktails were great...and the food was even better; would recommend the Pan Roasted Mahi Mahi and Manis Clams. The service was excellent and the staff took great care of us during our dinner, even pulling down the shutters for us when it started to rain. This restaurant is on the pricier side, but worth it if you're looking to spoil yourself.More

As a family, we always pay Sardine a visit whenever we're on holidays in Bali. It's never disappointed and the food has always been great. This time however, was the exception. Not sure; but perhaps the proprietors are low in energy or distracted with other...business propositions? The dishes looked like it was cookie cut.More

Thats crazy and rude. That will pay for your whole meal. There are other 5 star restaurants in Seminyak but I see their point, lots of people book and do no show. Costs them money.
