Nothing beats a reasonably priced, well rounded, comfort breakfast. Cracker Barrel excels at this. Uncle Herschel's does the job. Wonderful old-fashioned decor, along with an attached shop that carries old-time candies. If you haven't visited, my recommendation is to do so. The prices, atmosphere, wait staff, and even the bathrooms were above the standard restaurants in this area.
We stopped here about noon last Sunday. The wait time was short, and the food and service was great. We wiil be back.
There are lots of choices when it comes to eating out, this one is no longer on our list of options. We visited with the kids and grand kids on a Saturday for dinner. They were not overly busy. That should have been the first clue. Of our first six choices on the menu, they were out of four of... More
My husband and I went on a 1 day excursion and stopped here to eat as we had been given a gift card. The young waiter was very attentive, but not smothering. One of the best waiters we have had at any restaurant. The food was fresh, hot and very delicious!
We visited on a Saturday evening at 6pm so it was quite busy. However I never mind waiting because it allows me the opportunity to look through the store. Our server was Jeremy and he was wonderful. He always approached our table with a smile. The reason we did not gave a 4 rating was because they were out of... More
My wife and I shared the catfish platter that comes with two catfish fillets, three sides plus corn muffins and biscuits. For just $12 we were stuffed full. Forgot to mention the real burning fireplace and candlelit table!
Crappy food, snotty server. Breakfast and price not what it used to be. The Country Store merchandise is charming and countryfied. They have a great buyer for clothes selection.
Great atmosphere, friendly service, really good All-American food. Scrambled eggs, girts, pancakes and endless coffee with friends.
