Delish! Took my grandkids here for lunch and they loved it! I adore a little hole in the wall Bbq joint and this place doesn’t disappoint!

Some of the best BBQ I've had at a modest cost. Cordial waitstaff, roadhouse vibe. My tip: Order the "Burnt Ends," which were new to me. Unbelievably savory.

A Little BBQ Joint was an AMAZING little BBQ joint not too far from the Truman NHS. It was our very last stop before we headed to the airport to fly home from a week-long road trip through Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. It was...a cute little place with a vintage vibe and lots to look at on the walls. The staff were friendly and the food was out of this world. I had the build your own melt sandwich with brisket and it was outstanding. The mac and cheese was really good too. We all left full and agreed it was one of the best meals of the trip.More

The onion rings were fabulous. The restaurant was charming and food service was fast. The sweet sister barbecue sauce was the best. The other two had heat without much flavor so I mixed them together instead. Unfortunately the barbecued meat was dry. My husband had...the brisket and I had the pulled pork. Both of us rarely but extra bbq sauce on our meat, but here it was necessary. It may be possible we are used to St. Louis style barbecue instead, but I’m not sure if that was the difference.More

This is a great "little" unassuming bbq place that you could easily miss if you weren't looking for it. Had a casual lunch with colleagues before heading to MCI airport. Bacon appetizer is really good but filling. Had burnt ends. They were the best ends...I had while in the KC area. The place is part bar, part restaurant and all local. Lots of interesting decor. It was hot as blazes outside but they had roll up garage doors for cooler weather that would be great to experience. Good pricing. Good service.More

It seems this is a favorite place for locals. Lots of construction workers the day we went for lunch. Food was great. That was the highlight. Overall, though, my wife and I both thought the place was overrated. While we were seated right away, it...took almost twenty minutes for us to receive menus, or water. Then we waited another fifteen minutes before my wife got frustrated and went to the bar and placed our order with our waitress. Frustratingly, our waitress did not seem particularly busy, spending most of her time talking at length to her co-workers rather than waiting on tables. When it finally arrived, the food was great. I got the pork barbecue sandwich and fries, my wife got the brisket sandwich with baked beans. Both sandwiches were excellent, and the baked beans were terrific. Overall, while the food was great, the service was unacceptably slow, and the ambience was typical dive bar. This place got excellent reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor, which is why we went. My wife and I both thought the place was significantly overrated, to the point that we will not be back. The bad outweighed the good. I give it two stars because the food was good. The rest wasn’t.More

Ordered burnt ends and they were the best anywhere in the metropolitan area! All 4 of us agree. Delicious. Didn't need sauce, so smokey and tasty as is.

Great outdoor seating with cold beer and a large screen tv. I would definitely return to watch a game and grab a drink. The staff was kind, could carry on a conversation, and was efficient. The food was a bit lacking The bacon chips were...very salty . great concept, poor execution. The brisket was dried out and dark brown around the edges. It was almost as if it had been previously refrigerated and then reheated. I was not a fan of the warm potato salad. The types of barbecue sauce were okay and you could serve yourself as much as you liked. Venue and drinks were great. Food not so much.More

I walked in late on a Saturday afternoon to find this 'cue stop moderately busy. An appetizer of bacon chips, a tray of burnt ends with sides of cheesy corn and french fries, and a refillable soft drink (Coke products) came to $36.23 plus tip....Portions were large enough to warrant the price. Both sides had good flavor, but it is telling that the fries were less salty than the meat. Maple syrup did not overwhelm the bacon, but this served only to emphasize its saltiness. I discarded the burnt ends after a few bites heavily doused with one of the three sauces on the table, but this could not conceal the extreme saltiness of the meat. Given the time of day and the seasoning, it is not surprising that the cubes were so dry and tough that I was tempted to ask for a steak knife. Individuals on a salt restricted diet should tread warily here.More

My husband and I both had the pulled pork sandwich, and between us we had French fries, beans, coleslaw, and potato salad. It was absolutely delicious with generous portions. Highly recommend.

We live in the area and eat here fairly often. Tonight I tried "DaBull" with their briscuit, smoked cheese and grilled onions - it was fabulous! The bun was also grilled and it came with a pickle and two sides. I will definitely order this...sandwich again. It was so good I didn't even add any of the sauces. The only negative I could add would be that the coleslaw dressings have changed in the last year and I preferred the old ones, so I ordered the potato salad which is still delicious. We had an excellent server, and the food came out quickly.More
