A Very Good Place!

I’ve visited “Warung Made’s Munduk” several times during the last 2 years and the food is always delicious and Made & Putu (the owners) are always very hospitable and friendly. My most recent visit was during Feb 2021. Their menu has plenty of Balinese and Indonesian options to choose from (including vegetarian options) and the location of the warung has a really nice and scenic view across the surrounding area. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of their food. Note that Warung Made’s Munduk is not in Munduk village itself, but is approximately 2 kilometres east of Munduk village via the main road (a short 3 minutes drive).

Fresh, tasty Balinese food!

Fresh and tasty Balinese and Indonesian food! We were getting tired of fried rice and noodles on repeat and had succumbed to a few of the ‘eco cafes’ to get something that hadn’t been deep fried. Made’s (pronounced Maddie) menu is varied and delicious with plenty of vegetarian options. He is friendly and welcoming and the prices are cheap. As per other reviews, make sure you get the correct one with ‘Munduk’ at the end of the name.

Delicious balinese meal and cooking class!

Freshly made delicious and affordable balinese meal! We also had a cooking class with Made and his wife. The food and cooking class was possible to be made vegan friendly too! They kindly took us through the whole cooking process including grinding each of the sauce and paste from scratch! And the end result is a sumptuous meal (pictured) which we thoroughly enjoyed! Our accommodation was nearby and Made also help to deliver his food to us. What touched us is how kind he took care of us as if we were his family. The memory will always warm our heart.

This might be the best place to eat in the Munduk area. I always make sure to visit when in the area. Nice views out over the valley. Family run with real love put into the cooking. A mix of Balinese staples and Indonesian classics, with a few sneaky French favourites thrown in the mix! The Nasi Campur and Rendang Babi are a few of my go-to's. Pro-tip - ask for the sambal. If you're lucky, you can procure some to take home. Location can be a tricky right on a tight uphill corner but parking is available across the street or further up the hill. Support local! Get behind places like this.

Best food in Munduk

Always a good idea to stop here when passing through Munduk. Nicest owners, best value food and they also offer cooking classes and trekking guides. Their perfectly cooked rice and home-made sambal is the best. If you are staying in the Munduk area, they will also deliver to your accommodation.

Delicious food, great views and the kindest owners

This place is just amazing, one of the best restaurants we visited during our 40-day trip in Bali. Food is super fresh and sooooo delicious (we tried different dishes and all were awesome). The owners are very kind and welcoming and did their best to make us feel like home, many thanks for that :) There is also a beautiful view over the mountains. Hope to be back very soon!

We're taking the three waterfall walk and were looking forward to eat here - but the sign at the street says "closed". We were tired and disapointed. But after seeing the owner they are kindly offering to open prior 6p.m. - the current opening hour. We had fresh juices, exellent balinese dishes and some dessert and realy enjoyed everthing of it. So we recommend this place - not only for the extra opening.

The best restaurant in Munduk!

We highly recommend Warung Made’s if you are in Munduk. We ate here twice and both times were amazing, some of the best food we’ve had so far in Bali! The food is absolutely delicious, there is so much choice, and the restaurant is in a fantastic quiet and scenic spot with great views! We came back to do a cooking class which was brilliant. It was a great experience being able to cook authentic Balinese dishes ourself, and we made a 4 course dinner which we enjoyed afterwards. The staff here are also so friendly and hospitable, and Made really made our experience in Munduk so enjoyable!😊

If you're looking for especially " Warung Made's Munduk" the adress CHANGE !! Made move his restaurant 3 times ! the first one was in the village, the second time 100 meters after the first one (near the tourism office) And the LAST move it's on the way to Munduk.So now, the Good place of the fabulous food of Made is on the road to Munduk in a corner Just before Adila Homestay. it's important to know because the New owner of the first place keep the name of Made warung And obviously his reputation. Made food is delicious !! 🤗

Great for gluten free! I contacted them beforehand to check that they could cater to me as I am coeliac and the food was fantastic. There were plenty of options that could be made gluten free and even dessert was available! It was nice to be able to try the local cuisine and the food was lovely! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for gluten free in Munduk!

Exceptional Food! Lovely People! Don't miss it!

Take care to come to the CORRECT Warung Made's Munduk.. not the one at the homestay. It is a blue sign and a walk up the stairs immediately from the street. This is the best indonesian food I have had in Bali. Coming to Munduk during low season is quite interesting - I am the only person at my hotel and one of the few tourists I have seen over the course of a few days. Made and his wife made me feel at home. Try the spring rolls and if he has it, the Lawar Babi - it is truly exceptional and I am glad I listened to his recommendation. I ate dinner at Made's twice and have no regrets at all! A highlight of Munduk for certian.

Travellers Choice 2023!!

Beautiful fresh Indonesian meals! We came twice, once just for banana piseng, which was made especially gluten free for me. Dinner was delicious. Springs rolls amazing. Lovely people who own the restaurant and work here!

The Best Food in Munduk

The food is really good. I ate twice there. The menu is not too much but all delicious. Mr. Made the owner is very friendly. The price of food is quite cheap. I will come back here again when I come to Munduk.

Perfect dinner

Definitely, one of the best warungs we visited during our 1.5-month trip around Bali. Superb service, delicious food, and a beautiful view. Nothing else is needed to be happy. The whole experience is kept in a very local vibe. I can wholeheartedly recommend the dadar gulung which was delicious. :)
