Best pork ever eaten. Ate that at ohibiro before and was surprised to find a branch in sapporo! We had eaten one similiar restaurant near shireotoro too.

I was brought there by the local guide. The queue was short, maybe because it was a cold cold day. We queue outside for about 15 mins and we got our seats for 8 of us. The pork was awesome; tender and tasty. The sauce adds flavour to the meat and the rice is soft. Really enjoyed this meal. Average... More

Obihiro is the birthplace of butadon. Thus butadon no tonta is definitely a place that you should visit. Went to this butadon at 12 o'clock and we were just in time before the line went crazy long. By the time we finished eating the line was already 50meters long. Definitely the place you want to visit while you're visiting obihiro.

I am not sure if there are others who are disappointed with this eatery, but I rather put in my own review, based on our group satisfaction level. Even before we reach the restaurant, the reputation of Tonta already whet our appetite. The grilled marbled pork were heavenly! I say again...heavenly! I rarely indulge in fatty meat but somehow Tonta... More

So many reviews and posting speak of this as one of the best if not the best Butadon restaurant. Perhaps I had expected more but found it ordinary in every way...the service; the meat and sauce. I am not suggesting it is not good but its not beyond exception. If you want to give it a go, visit before 6.30pm... More
