Surprised by negative reviews. We've been there twice now and have been really happy with our food and the service. Vegetarian options at a sports bar menu Fantastic! Yes, busy but attentive to us! Try it out for yourself sometime.

Great, upscale bar food. Delicious pizza made with local crust in a stone fire oven. Patio is wonderful in the summer. Great nightly specials on drinks. Happy hour specials.

Went in to check it out, heard good things about the place but it was one of the worst experiences ever. Waitress took the drink order then decides to start playing gambling machines! We waited over 20 minutes then flagged another waitress down. Staff very interested in themselves not the customers, needless to say will never return.

Generally fine if you keep your expectations reasonable. Lots of Wisconsin locals and occasional live music.

I called in an order to go, so I cannot speak on the service. The people I interacted with were friendly and they offered a discount which is appreciated. The pizza and wings we had were awesome. Some of the better hot wings I have had. Pizza was very good. We will get it again.

We stopped in here one Sunday afternoon as we noticed the parkinglot was always full when we passed by. This is a VERY casual atmosphere kind of place (which isn't a bad thing at all). We ordered a gyro & a chicken sandwich. Pretty standard kind of pup food. How can one mess that up? When our waiter brought our... More

I've been to this place a number of times and it always great. Oven fire pizza is awesome, prices very fair, tons of beers on tap, stop if you can. Close enough to airport to taxi to I you have a couple hours.

Visited here twice for lunch mid-week. Good sandwiches and burgers, but you want to arrive before the large groups descend and the cook gets rushed. Service was good, but also got overwhelmed in the face of large groups arriving at the same time.

This is a place that makes you feel welcome and seems well established with a number of repeat customers. The menu could be freshened or punched up a bit. Food was pretty predictable and average or slightly better. The service was great until it came time to pay the bill... then was on our own.

We have stopped at the Lazy Oaf each time that we stay at a hotel on Madison's east side. We always enjoy our food and the service can't be beat. The atmosphere is definitely casual, the menu has good variety (including an excellent fish fry), there are plenty of beer choices and well-made cocktails, and the prices are very reasonable....
