The service is a bit slow but the food is worth the wait! Had the seasonal salad with roasted beets and leeks and it was delicious. Lots of different sandwiches and other items to choose from - all carefully prepared and yummy.

Went here after getting a recommendation from a friend. Got the Glogg/Grogg/Mulled Wine/Gluhwein, pretty darn good. Good two different kinds of sandwiches, pretty darn good. Got two pretty darn good beers. Went here by chance on new years eve. Great service, great atmosphere and everything was cool All in all, one of my favorite places in Madison.

We brought our two teen boys for an early New Year's Eve dinner this past Saturday night and had a fantastic time! The food was outstanding! My boys gobbled up their fried fish sandwiches, my husband's Reuben was great and I thoroughly enjoyed the salmon. The atmosphere is super-chill and we had a great time playing one of the many... Service here was a little slow, but what they lacked in speed, they made up for with delicious food. With a large group of 12, we were able to sample several specialties. We had the frittata de jour which was light and fluffy and perfect. We also tried the Le Toaste. VERY thick slabs of french toast. Several of us... More

Met some of our friends in Madison at the Weary Traveler in October. Steak sandwich was very good, and the goulash my wife had was good, though not what we were expecting. Excellent service as well.

Our friend was told to check this place out. Kind of off the beaten track but worth the stop. I had the pastrami Reuben which was awesome. They make these gigantic pieces of homemade bread and the pastrami was so good. and my friends had the bobs bad breathe burger. Both said it was delicious. Very reasonable prices and a... More

Stopped in for a late lunch. Food all round the table was deemed "just okay". Nothing stellar. The service also was "just okay", with a not very attentive waitress. And what were those little flakes floating in the water? Not very appetizing. I don't think we'll be back. There are many better places to eat.

August 15, 2016 We love to end the evening 'at the bar' chatting with the locals over a delicious rye or bourbon and something sweet and decadent. Luckily, we heard about The Weary Traveler from a bartender of another place we loved. It was late, but we were treated like old friends. The bartender was very knowledgeable (I wish I... More
