A great place for a reasonably-priced meal, or just a drink. Stays open late so a good option also if other places are closed down. The place feels very authentic and friendly. Good selection of single-malt scotches too.

The menu selections were all very good. Loved the choice of vegan items. Delicious food and good variety of beers on tap.

The decor inside is very eclectic and we like the neighborhood feeling, but that is it. I had a cup of veggie chilli, bloody mary, and my partner had the grilled cheese sandwich with ham and a mimosa. The wait for our food was a bit much for what we ordered. The bloody mary drink and the mimosa were good.... More

Met coworkers there after work. Had trouble finding the place because there is little to no signage visible from the busy street, especially at night. Sat ourselves, as was the custom. Great expansive beer and drink menu for a small place. Service was prompt and friendly. I had the carne asada which was extremely reasonably priced and quite tasty. Very... More

Quaint place and location, good food and drinks. They had a large seletion of specialty drinks. The food was fresh and unique. The goulash was wonderful.

Our visit was shockingly disappointing after hearing so many good things about the Weary Traveler for several years now. We two were there on an early Sunday afternoon, when it wasn't even busy, but we finally left after waiting for our simple order for an hour. It was very cold and noisy in the dining room, as well, which made... More

We went to the Weary Traveler on a Monday night. Although we had been there before, we were unaware that the chef prepares "specials" on Monday evenings. I had the "rib" special which was one of the most creative dishes I have had in a long time. Well done. I really enjoy when a restaurant goes out of its way... More

Good drinks and atmosphere, it's fun how they have shelves of board games. Good menu but stay away from the Mexican platter, it's nothing special. Their food specials are often good and I LOVE the West of the Andes sandwich.

The Bad Breath Burger is the thing to get. Everybody told me this before I tried it, and it lived up to all the expectations. Just don't get it while on a date because the name is real.

I've been to this place several times - I absolutely love the steak, avocado, and quinoa salad. We also had homemade cinnamon ice cream last time we visited, which was incredible. I love this place because all the food is fresh, local, true to Madison, appropriately portioned, and delicious. They also have board games you can play, so the atmosphere... More
