My daughters took me here for my 50th bday. And was not too impress with the server or food. over price for what you'll get and the server is NOT friendly. But the place is really beautiful very trendy.

Maximo's was a great little Italian restaurant in NO; however, I have to report that it closed several months ago. Not sure why. The food was always good and reservations were needed during the busy hours each eveing.

Walked a significant distance to get to this resturant after checking out its previous reviews only to find it closed...lights off and no notification of closure on door. Tried calling but only got answering machine. Tried to make a reservation prior to and after arriving....got error message on website.

Out hotel concierge recommended this place for Christmas Eve dinner. We couldn't have loved it more! We had a delicious meal - Osso Buco was amazing, as was the filet! The waitstaff was friendly and helpful too! We would definitely go back!

First off its a nice looking place with a very good staff and atmosphere and great food. Started with the shrimp then had the crawfish fra diavolo then finished with the osso buco. All where wonderful and not to be missed. Good wine selection.

A very quaint little restaurant but great food and service. There was a variety of choices on the menu to satisfy the picky of taste. We enjoyed the food.

She was great as the restaurant. Clubby atmosphere, clean, slick. Service a bit slow but I know they were suddenly short handed. Food great and were open to customize my order a bit. There were 3 of us sitting nearby the Royal Navy. Among us we ordered Ravioli (small portion but outstanding); a chicken pasta dish that was intended for... More

Food, service & atmosphere were all great! It is on Decatur amidst lot's of tourist traps, so we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of food etc. Will definitely go again next year!

We were targeting a different restaurant, however the wait to get in was way too long. Just next door was Maximo's and there was no wait! The ambience, service & food were spectacular. The presentation, dinnerware , flatware & glassware was well thought-out and tastefully done. If we return to New Orleans, this place will get a return visit. An... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
