Funnel cake covered in powdered sugar and decent coffee. Over crowded and probably wouldn't go back.

Absolutely delicious! Service was okay and it's unfortunate that they only take cash but no matter what, the beignets are absolutely worth it. Tip - don't wear black because the powdered sugar is hard to remove.

Had always been told about this place, was finally glad to get to visit. Was surprised the prices were as inexpensive as they were too! Food was great!

Want to go to Cafe Du Monde but see a super long line to be seated? Jump into the to-go line - noticeably shorter and moves quite quicker than the to-be-seated line - and grab beignets to go. Get a bag and coffee and enjoy them just steps away inside Jackson Square- with no chaos.

Stopped here for coffee and the best beignets! Cute cafe with indoor / outdoor seating overlooking Jackson Square. Always crowded but the line moves fairly quickly. They also have carry-out if needed.

Café Du Monde beignets and coffee were outstanding as usual. I go out of my way to have them every time I'm in New Orleans. They are so much better fresh there than at other places. Unfortunately their only TOILET was disgustingly smelly and unsanitary! They only had one working unisex toilet and it was about a 15 minute for... More

No NO visit should skip this iconic locale. Quite tasty. Lines can be long, but there are ways to lessen the wait.

Yep.. have to stop here! yes, you will see the huge line outside and think "wow, this is going to be a while for a donut and coffee".. but the line moves fast, the beignets are delicious and the coffee is too! And who doesn't want to try this? (not many, because it is always packed!) The staff really have... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
