Charming little place that the host of our Airbnb told us about. We had breakfast here twice in our 3-day visit. Everything is freshly made. The fried catfish and eggs was so hot and fresh we had to let it cool before we could eat it. And the staff is very friendly. Definitely a nice place to relax and enjoy... More

I have been to New Orleans only twice however have eaten at Cake Cafe at least 5 times. The grits are so flavorful and certainly do not taste instant. Whether it is the menu selections, the atmosphere (shabby boutique) or the wonderful coffees....oh, don't forget fresh squeezed juices from a local juicery...you won' t be disappointed. Don't expect a fine... More

I have eaten at the Cake Cafe several times. The bread and pastries are unique and tasty. My favorite is the chicken salad sandwich with the soap of the day. The soup is always delicious.

This is a little, and I do mean little, cafe just outside of the French Quarter. The building has charm, but has seen better days. Service is prompt, polite, friendly, and good! This review is about one item that they have become famous for...The Goat Cheese and Apple King Cake. I took a deep gulp and ponied up a dollar... More

Dear Wineho, This is Steve owner of Cake Cafe. Sorry the King Cake didn't meet your expectations. I bake all the king cakes myself from scratch. So if you had one that you were not happy with I would be happy to replace it. Please contact me at the Cake Cafe. 504-943-0010 We can discuss this further. More

The Cafe is small, but the breakfast is excellent! We ordered the Corned Beef Hash and the Biscuits and Gravy and they were both fabulous! The coffee was very good and the atmosphere was just what we needed! Very nice staff and the other customers were friendly and sociable. We had the King Cake for dessert! Best ever!

This is a classic Marigny place, with nice outdoor seating. The food is really tasty and the bakery products are wonderful. They have the best king cakes in town and the boudin and bacon mini king cake is Wow. It gets really busy on the weekends - it looks like a fire drill in the kitchen when things really get... More

My brother and I found this place by accident. It is an awesome place to come! The food is delicious, and the coffee is strong. A three piece band played really good jazz too. I recommend the pork and eggs over grits!

This cafe was across the street from the B&B we stayed at. I can say with absolute assurance that they make extraordinary cakes (LOVED the king cake!). An absolute must when in town.

I met friends from New York City at Cake Cafe for lunch on their last day in NOLA (and my first) - I thought they were going to delay their departure they liked it so much. I stay nearby when I am in NOLA so Cake Cafe is a regular stop for me for b'fast or lunch every trip. The... More

Excellent low key breakfast. I loved the handmade corned beef hash. I also really enjoyed an apple and goat cheese king cake. You can't go to nola without having king cake. I also appreciates they had soy milk for their cafe au lait.

Thank JasperJenni
