My wife has wanted to try Houston's for a while and I've been a little hesitant because it is a chain and not a "true" New Orleans restaurant. I was wrong. We made Friday 8PM reservations. The place is very busy and bustling but dark and inviting. However, there was a line and the hostess was maybe a little brusque... More

The food is excellent and they have nightly Jazz. A great place for a romantic evening if you get the tables up the front with the white linen and low lighting. The services is impeccable.

Had heard of the jazz trio and thought to sit at the bar, have a drink and listen, but tried the Oysters St. Charles and then moved on to the Thai Salad. Everything was superb and they pour a deep glass of wine there. Lighting is low, service marvelous and they have purse hooks under the bar! Magnifique!

I have lived on St. Charles Ave for almost 7 years and have seen this name so many times but never ate there. Last night I wanted to check it out because I have heard so many wonderful things about Houston's. They are all true! The food, the live music, the flavor, the service is true NOLA. I know there... We always enjoy eating at Houston's. They all have a wonderful atmosphere of refinement and grace. The staff is always well trained and the food is consistently good in every Houston's we have tried from Kansas City to New Orleans. Our old stand by that we love so much that we don't get beyond ordering it is their Grilled Chicken... More

We went one night and it was so crowed that we could not get a seat and so left. Came back early a few nights later and sat at the bar for dinner. They "set the table" at the bar - the first indication that this will be more than "bar food". A jazz trio played in the background -... More

It is good food but not something too special for my taste, we have been to the one in Coral Gables Fla and I thought it was much better. There are lot better and more typical places to go to in New Orleans , I would give it a miss

This upscale venerable establishment caters to professional's that work in the area. The menu offerings are not that diverse, but are designed to please the palate, and that they do remarkably well. Try any of the salads such as the Shrimp Louie, or grilled chicken with the Thai peanut lime vinaigrette dressing. That'll perk up the taste buds.

The ambience alone is 5 star. It's very pretty, chic, intimate yet a big place and the background music was kind of "voodoo lounge Paris"❤ add to this fantastic food and service and I say it is an excellent restaurant.
