we stumbled across this little eatery while waiting for the Mardi Gras parade to start. It was good and the prices were reasonable.

We walked into this restaurant for breakfast without a reservation. It is attached to a hotel, but they were still willing to seat us. I had the crab cakes Benedict. My sister had the breakfast special. Both of us were very satisfied with our meals. Service was friendly, and they had a great selection of teas.

I eat @ the Square Café whenever I am in NOLA and yes, they offer a 'square burger' sitting beside a popular park

Since I was staying at The Blake hotel I went there twice. The food was average. The salads are big, but not special. The bread was dry and bland. The onion soup had very little broth. Not for me.

This cafe is on the edge of Lafayette Square and we went here because it is near the post office we went to and it was raining! The lunch crowd appeared mostly dressed in business attire. The food was good and reasonably priced. I especially liked in the menu the "Resolutions Salad" -a choice of grilled meat, salad vegetables and... More

Arrived around 8:30am, were seated right away. Our waiter was super sweet, made sure our coffee cups stayed full. My Husband had the Crabcake Benedict & he was in heaven!!! I had the crawfish omelette & the best biscuit around!! Can't wait for my next visit!

This is the only place we ate in New Orleans twice. New Orleans has such good food you want to try too many places to go back to one. This restaurant is convenient for breakfast and the food is pretty good. Service is also good and prices are reasonable.

Extremely friendly staff. Quick service. Great menu. Wasn't expecting to have and New Orleans faves but the gumbo and shrimp and grits were fantastic. Came back for breakfast he next morning and was equally satisfied. Great waffles. Good portions for a reasonable price.

Chose to eat here because it was located inside our hotel (no room service). Just had chicken fingers and fries. Food, service and price point were all good.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
