Came in for a little brunch before heading out to sightsee. We throughly enjoyed everything we ordered. Wait staff was very attentive to questions and any needs we had. My daughter, 17, loved the pottery work in use and remarked on how well made it...More

Thank you so much for coming in! I'm happy you enjoyed your time! Tell your daughter that after 5 years of pottery, I still can't make two things alike!! I hope you enjoy your time in New Orleans!

Absolutely horrible experience. I could complain about so many things, but ultimately it boils down to this: I ordered the Coco Sandwich. Described on the menu as :COCO $15 Fresh Mozzarella, Capicola, Tomatoes, lightly grilled. Capicola is one of my favorite cuts and I was...More

Thought we'd been over this...you and I both know that verbal exchange never happened the way you say it did. You simply were surprised that the sandwich didn't have as much meat on it as you hoped it would. I explained it was a fresh...More

Coffee was very average. We had cannoli pancakes which were ok but certainly nothing to write home about. Decor was fake & boring. Staff were nice. Wouldn't return again.More

Thank you so much for coming in! I guess I have to work a little harder on my pottery! I can be the sweetest peach on the tree, but there will always be someone who doesn't like peaches, right?! Again, thank you for coming in!...More

I guess I can't give this restaurant a good review because I don't really want or like meatballs or Italian sausage for breakfast. They have some other options so we gave it a try. The waitstaff was very friendly and we were seated right away....More

Thank you for coming in. I'm happy the staff was friendly. Our menu, posted outside, lists all the many dishes that meatballs and sausage are in. The fact that we are not a typical breakfast restaurant has always been the appeal for so many of...More

I always visit this place whenever I'm in NOLA! Brought a group of 10 for lunch. Love their meatballs and garlic toast for breakfast. Lots of variety of sandwiches!

My friend and I had lunch here before heading home from a business trip. It is cozy, with a lot of nice touches -fresh flowers at the table. We had the gluten free pasta carbanara, and Momma's Omelet-a tasty sweet and savory omelet with strawberries...More

My husband and I had breakfast at this charming, eclectic restaurant. It has an interesting history and offers a traditional breakfast in addition to some delicious alternatives....old family recipes. Loved that everything is sourced locally. Upon our return to New Orleans, we will definitely go...More

Really nice restaurant for breakfast. Menu was not the usual fair. We had the shirred eggs and Egg florentine and both was delicious! Decor was adorable and staff were friendly. My only concern is that they would not offer substitution (bacon for sausage). But that...More

My friends and I came here for our lunch break from a conference. We were greeted by big band music and crooners that made me want to sing along or at least jitterbug/swing dance too. I opted for the garlic bread and red gravy with...More

Thank you so much for coming in! I'm so happy you enjoyed your meal and the music! I love big band music, too! Slight correction, I'm from a very tiny town in northern New Jersey called Rochelle Park. New Rochelle is in New York! And...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

What is the best time to dine in at Red Gravy? Reading the comments about it being a smaller restaurant however don't want to feel over crowded.

Generally, right after we open is best. Wednesday is also, generally a slower day.
Hi Red Gravy (and Vera Blue), We'd like to join you for b'fast at 8 am. On Open Table, reservations start at 8:45 am. Does this mean that you don't take reservations for earlier than 8:45 and that we should just show up and wait? We're catching a plane that day so we need to watch our time. Thanks in advance. Gigi

We don't take reservations earlier than 8:30, but generally, on a weekday, walking in at that time is not a problem at all. If it's a weekend, if you are here when we open at 8am, you should be able to walk right in for a... More

Bright and cheereful spot at the edge of the CBD, just across from the French Quarter. Red Gravy is a dedicated Farm to Table restaurant, sourcing most of our ingredients from local farmers, fishers and bakers. Currently listed as the #1 Brunch spot in New Orleans by OpenTable! Our brunch menu is comprised of traditional breakfast items, traditional Italian specialties like our handmade pasta and famous homemade meatballs, typical northern New Jersey/New York dishes and local, New Orleans favorites. Full service bar, cappuccino and espresso available. Come and eat, I always make too much!
