My husband and I just finished dinner at SYLAINS. We had the beef cheeks and the scallops and both were absolutely fabulous. We also had the beet salad and the tomato and watermelon gazpacho which was the best gazpacho we've ever had. We both had...More

Thank you SaraSota! So glad you enjoyed dinner with us last night. And don't you worry, those Braised Beef Cheeks are a signature dish and not going anywhere! And we'll make sure to let Dawn know that she is, the best!

This really is a hidden gem among all of the other more touristy bar/restaurants surrounding the quarter - you aren't really sure where the entrance is! First, the bar serves incredible hand-crafted cocktails like Bloody Marys made with their own homemade tomato juice! My favorite...More

I was there for a weekend dinner. The place has a quiet library/bohemian style, dark lighting and such. The staff was very helpful with drinks and food selections. A lot of the food has unique ingredients which I liked. I got a leek soup that...More

This small New Orleans French Quarter restaurant/bar is a hidden gem. Located 1/2 block from Jackson Square. Bar has very knowledgeable bar tenders who know how to make the specialty drinks of Sylvain as well as the usual Quarter "old faithfuls" like Bloody Mary or...More

My husband and I had dinner here during a long weekend getaway. The building is historic and extremely dark . It was so noisy we asked to change our table which helped a little. The age of the building may have contributed to the noise...More

Stop at the bar first--great Moscow Mules. The food is unusual--more farm to table type with uncommon ingredients. It was fun to try new foods, but we didn't care for all of them (ex: tomato and beet salad). This place is for the adventurous eater.

Hidden Gem! Amazing food and away from all of the chaos of Bourbon street. I recommend this place to anyone who has a taste for yum!

Great Friday lunch. Seemed to be local working folks meeting there. Initially worried that it would be disappointing bar food. Server read my mind and suggested great cold shrimp salad-like dish and the mule cocktail - completely won me over. Both were delish!

around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Recommended on busy days. We went without one, spoke to the Maitre D' and got the "heads up" about a couple at the bar who were about to be seated. We hung nearby and grabbed their bar seats and then ate at the bar, which... More
