It's not the original, but it's great if you don't plan to leave the Quarter! Service is always fun and the food is what you know and like.

Let me start by saying the food was great once it arrived. However, I think we sat down right after the lunch rush. The counters were still full of empty plates and silverware, spilled drinks, and the employees looks absolutely wrung out. The hostess told us to sit anywhere, but didn't provide menus. This seemed to have exasperated the waiter... More

Basic good food from the grill with a side order of eatertainment provided by the wait staff. Ours was Little Skeatter who served us up a heaping helping of humour and hamburgers. We were there for the evening and apparently the morning show for breakfast is top rated. Kid friendly. Five star food and fun.

Food was good, service was excellent. Our waiter gave us samples of gumbo, corn chow, and red beans. Very nice flavors of NOLA.

Get there by 9am on Sunday's so you don't have to wait in line for quite a while (although it is worth the wait). Historic place. Diner atmosphere. Order ala carte most anything. Omelets are huge!!!!!

Casual and fun with great food. I highly recommend this place for breakfast although you might wait in line on busier days. The wait is worth it. Get an omelette of your choice and you will be stuffed for a good part of the day!! Great service and cheap prices.

Visited St Patrick's Day for breakfast. Place was lively as always. We love eating here when in town. Our server was very attentive to my girls. Which will always earn a big tip, cause if the kids are happy, Mom's happy. The girls each ordered omlets and they were HUGE. I had the pancakes, bacon, hash browns and grits. The... More

While we waited a bit, it went fast. Such a cool old diner counter/grill. One seated we waited waaay too long to even get ,ends and water, let alone order. With that said, the wait staff is entertaining and appreciative of your patience. The food was greasy goodness, lol! The hashbrowns were just what I was hoping they would be.... More

Funniest time I have ever had eating breakfast. The waiters holler the order to the cook and banter back and forth with the customers. He had us singing" If you're happy and you know it...". I would go back just to listen to them clown around.

Peanut was so wonderful!!! The staff all work great together. Most place in the area is cash only but here they take credit cards.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
