Unfortunately Tracey's is a bit of a nightmare. I would say that it starts with management. The employees for the most part have a simple "don't care" attitude and make it known that they don't want to be there. I had a brief conversation with the manager who was quite friendly but really didn't seem to "get it".The only guy... More

Great for a beer, and oysters plus other food. The place is packed at weekends, we had a dog so could sit outside

All a bit basic, but the food is prepared fresh and they have great Po boys and it has a good atmosphere.. I had fried shrimp and fries loved it. Service was a bit slow, and it wasn't busy. Worth a second visit.

We went on a Saturday around 2:00. We had a group of 6 and all ordered simple sandwiches or po'boys, and it took 2 hours to get our food. There was a line of about 10 or more people complaining about never getting their food, so they were having to refund meals. The bartenders and people working the kitchen were... More

This bar was literally on the corner of the street we stayed on. 4 houses away. It was an open air bar. Only issue with that is the people that smoked outside, their cigarette smoke blew right into where we were sitting. Staff was friendly and not overly attentive. In the 3 days we stayed there, we went to Tracey's... More

If you are looking for a local place to catch the game, this is it. Cold beer, oysters, wings, poboys and crazy nola locals all here. Game day service can be a bit slow.

The restaurant was loud and crowded inside on Saturday afternoon, but we were able to join locals at a picnic table outside. We had a great conversation and enjoyed fantastic oysters.

You'll hear a lot about famous Po-Boys, but to me, this is one of the best local gems. The Roast Beef is what they are most known for but I love their catfish po-boy. Always cooked well and the bread has that perfect chewiness to it. If you're feeling naughty, the cheese fried with gravy are the best side there!

We were there for a fund raiser for DHP. Thank you for supporting Veterans!! The place was rather warm. Fans were barely on. Not sure why. Food was good, but was slow. My order was lost, but I was talking with everyone, so it wasn't a problem for me.

Thank Suzy H

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
