Group of four, we had to wait a bit for a table but worth it! We enjoyed 3 pigs and a chicken, monte cristo french toast sandwich, breakfast burrito and tuscan eggs. Enjoyed it all!

Food was good except for the soured Cauliflower and Bacon soup. It should not have been sold. And they should have offered to take it off my bill. Po Boy's were awesome and the menu had a lot to choose from the tiny room makes it intimate and nice. Would return but be more careful at what I selected.

Had a queue outside on arrival (11ish) but only took 10 mins to get a table. Place is quite small and quite popular so likely to be a queue. Tried fried green tomatoes (very tasty) I had crab cake eggs benedict and partner had pork chop and also jug of sangria. Service was fairly quick and waitress was fairly good.... More

Stopped for lunch and had the Turkey Po Boy. Nice size sandwich and cold beer! 70's theme cafe. Wish I would have returned before our time in FQ ended but just ran out of time. Highly recommend.

This crazy, little hole-in-the-wall cafe was amazingly delicious with it's unique menu and mini bar. The service was great too.

So I wanted to try Jimmy J' s for lunch however it was so busy with a long wait line....honest I felt silly waiting for a table for one when there were so many in line. So off I went. Hours later I was headed out to another adventure and was walking by Jimmy J's saw they were open for... More

Nice hole in the wall place. Great décor. Nice staff. Long wait for food. My gumbo was tepid and had lots of chicken 2 pieces sausage. Thin sauce and a bit of rice. Oily garlic bread. Not good. Wife had Cobb salad! No blue cheese. Vinegar and Oil dressing and Mozzarella cheese. Not thrilled. Take your chances.

Friendly service, and good, simple eats. Nice light biscuits. Tiny place though, so you may have to wait for a table. Etoufee especially good.

Excellent food (Monte Cristo, Red beans/Rice/Sausage!!!) The service is excellent, as well. Small but definitely worth a wait.

Thank Karla P

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
