We made a reservation via opentable, and even though we arrived 15 minutes early, we were warmly welcomed and told we could wait at the bar until our table was ready. There was a live pianist, who was very skilled in modern light jazz and pop music. We were seated within 10 minutes. We had cocktails, and I thoroughly recommend... More

If you like your steak charred then this is the place for you. I was not impressed, just incase you couldnt tell by my review. However, this review is strictly about the food. The service was wonderful and we recieved everything in a very timely fashion.

Hi Kristen, I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your steak. Our Pittsburgh-style cooking technique, that produces a caramelized char on the steak, is not for everyone. We can also prepare steaks without the char by request. I hope you'll join us again in the future. Thank you for your feedback. More

This is a small restaurant about three blocks off Canal Street. They have live entertainment in the small bar area and some of the best food in New Orleans. Best service I can remember having in a long time. This now is my go to restaurant.

Incredible atmosphere including a wonderful piano-singer in the bar which we could hear from our table. She did some very nice yet different takes on popular classic rock songs. My wife had the center cut ribeye and I had the Filet. Both were perfectly cooked with a nice char on the outside. Service was friendly and efficient.

My wife and I had dinner there tonight. She had the ceasar salad and the small filet. I had the jumbo lump crab appetizer (the crab lumps are really big!) and the, small New York strip. Everything was prepared perfectly and the service was top notch. Great steakhouse!

Wife & I were in town for our Carnival ball and dined here the first evening. We arrived early for our reservation - which I recommend - and were promptly seated. There is a small bar/waiting area with a live piano bar which was nice. Our servers were prompt and friendly. We ordered the gigantic lump crabmeat cocktail and they... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
