After biking trough New Orleans we decided to stop here and have lunch. Great place and you can customize your pita to your own taste. Probably owned by the same company as Subway. Bbq chickn pita was just delicious!

Hubby, 2 teens daughters and I stopped past after a free ghost tour. I love that it is open late. We were the only ones in the store. The staff was patient with us since it was our first time. We got 2 gyro 1 Philly cheesesteak and 1 Turkey club. Despite the usual ingredients...you could add more which added... More

Hubby and I stopped for lunch during bike ride to Audubon Park. Very friendly counter service. Get to chose what to top your pita with and chicken caesar and gyro pitas were great for a quick lunch. Good size and very tasty.

I'm from the northern states so good food is a must. I stumbled into this place late night and surprisingly learned it was open at 2 in the morning. What? My friends and I had to try it out and it was no disappointment. I got the Gyro and went with the recommended toppings that the worker suggested. It was... More

So went today for lunch I was craving a gyro pita. I was the only one in there and at first didn't notice anything. But then when they pulled the gyro meat out it came from a tube with random pieces of feta and other pieces of meat. Then as I was telling the only guy there what I wanted... More

Stumbled upon this pita place walking from the zoo and decided to have smoothies and pita wraps. Fruit smoothie was really good. We both had pita wraps- one sirloin and the other spicy bean- both were very good. This is a pita version of Subway where you can make your own Pita wrap exactly how you like it and the... More

Pita Pit, not surprisingly, makes made-to-order pitas for folks. They have a nice assortment of meats, sauces, vegetarian options, and healthy options. You can find something for every appetite at Pita Pit for little cash. You may ask why 3 stars? Pita Pit is not bad by any stretch. I cannot recall an unpleasant experience there. However, if you are... More

We wanted just a sandwich and had not been to a Pita Pit before. Fresh tasting and sort of like a Subway, except not all the bread. Huge sandwich that hit our spot after a day on the French Quarter!

Best place to get quality fast food late in the night. The only decent place in uptown open until 3AM on weekends. They also deliver.

There are so many choices to customize your pita. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. They even have parking which would be impossible in this area.

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighbourhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
