This place is a must for anyone looking for a great dining experience. Everything about this place is excellent. Service, appetizers (oysters), cocktails and the food are all prepared with care and attention to detail. Great atmosphere, and lively croud, a lot of fun. I will definitely be back. Enjoy!

While on a recent visit to N.O., Superior Seafood was recommended by a guy that I played golf with while golfing at English Turn Golf Course. That course was great by the way. This had to be 1 of the top 2 dining experiences that I have ever had. We went in right after the 1/2 Marathon during the Rock... More

This is a large restaurant with great food and great service. We were staying just down the street, so I called to find out if they were having happy hour. Every day from 4 to 6:30!! They have oysters (in season), excellent pint beers on tap, crawfish (in season). We ate and drank our fill of those. The oysters were... More

We had an awesome experience at this restaurant. Reservations were made and honored. We were seated quickly. Our order was placed and received swiftly. Our waiter was excellent. Nice New Orleans food experience. We tried crawfish cornbread for the first time. Delicious.

We ventured to our old stomping grounds, across the street from where we married, to a new to us restaurant, Superior Seafood. Great setting and decor. The food, with small improvements, was delicious. Nice start with warm French bread and butter. The grilled oysters were very hot, well seasoned, but also slightly underdone. Needed a top broil perhaps. We both... More

My husband and I ate here on recommendation of our hotel. The food was excellent and I got a glass of house wine for $5. Our only complaint was that as soon as we started on our salad, the dinner was served. We like to enjoy our salad before dinner. That's really the only complaint and that's why the 4... More

We had appetizers in the French Quarter and arrived at eight PM for dinner, which is not late as they are open until ten. We ordered a bottle of wine. Once the wine was opened we were ready to order dinner. All of their entrées include a salad so my wife and I each ordered. Our salad was delivered to... More

I had dinner here with friends right before Christmas. All the food we ordered was wonderful (it is so nice to be able to get decent portions of good, fresh vegetables at a restaurant), except for an undercooked steak that didn't arrive back at the table until everyone else in the party had finished eating. The char-grilled oysters and fried... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
