The 2 for 1 Bloody Mary's, Mimosas, & bottomless Hurricanes are well worth it! The food is good, but nothing over the top spectacular. Prices are fair. Atmosphere, service, & drinks make Daisy Dukes a must try.

My husband and I had ate here for Breakfast, so we decided to eat here for Lunch. We both ordered the 8oz hamburger. It was the best hamburger ever! The meat was so fresh and flavorful, not to mention the fresh vegetables that dressed the burger. The French fries tasted like fresh cut. Best place ever! **I also stopped here... More

I saw many decent reviews, but we found this place to be a pretty standard breakfast place. Nothing too great, nothing too bad. Some of the food was kind of bland. Service was fine. Overall, just an average breakfast place.

We arrived in New Orleans Friday evening, not been aware of the area we asked at our reception where a good place for an inexpensive dinner would be. We were sent to Daisy Duke's. We not only had a good dinner we went every morning for breakfast, the service is first class, the food was delicious and plentiful. We also... More

On my first morning in New Orleans I walked around looking for breakfast and came upon Daisy Dukes on Carondelet. The room is very cosy and traditional in the best sense, and the staff really friendly. Now I am back here on my second morning with as good an experience + "early bird" discount thanks to jetlack.

This is a great place to get an outstanding hamburger and fries. It was one of the biggest burgers I've ever seen. We went twice while we were in New Orleans. The wait staff were super friendly and our food was great.

We were in a hurry and got in and out in record time. My wife and I both had the gumbo and shrimp po-boy. Both were very good and the price was reasonable.

Starting with curdled butter on the table and ending "egg whites" ordered and "yellow" eggs delivered... AND THEN.... when the ordered eggs were delivered... cold again... the tried to charge for the incorrect eggs as well as the correct.. I would NEVER visit this place again.

I stopped in here after searching reviews for restaurants in downtown New Orleans. This place was on Carondalet St (only 1 block away from intersection of Canal & Bourbon St). This was a very good find! I went back twice during that same week, and also had breakfast at their other location which is 24hrs (and only one street away... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
