First night dinner; food was excellent; a la carte $$$$ so plan for that. Service was the best I've ever had in a restaurant! We would return.

What an exceptional meal. We went there on a Sunday night after the football game. No reservation. We did eat in the bar, luckily next to the front desk. The staff were so kind. No judgment walking in with football jerseys as well as a...More

Me and my friend at dinner here. It was delicious. We ate at the bar, which was ok with us, we were not dressed for the main dinning. The food was great had the roasted bone marrow and the oysters. They also had an extensive...More

Sadly this restaurant did not live up to its billing, especially with the chefs behind it. I started off with a drink at the bar, talking with the bartender who was a nice guy and his cocktails were good. He gave us a lowdown on...More

Impressive and Huge wine selection. I had the rabbit with a side of truffle mashed potatoes and desert was the chocolate cake. The rabbit was really good and the red sauce made it even better. The mashed potatoes were ok but I expected a little...More

There were four of us for dinner. The fire roasted oyster appetizer was mediocre. The Cajun Cioppino was below average. The Butternut Risotto, while good was extremely over-salted. The service was careless... sleeves in our food and water spilled on the table whilst pouring. For...More

I asked to celebrate my birthday this year with a day trip from Mobile for jazz brunch at Restaurant R'evolution and a romantic stroll around the French Quarter. The exquisite food, culinary antiques, the band (who surprised me with Happy Birthday), and special touches created...More

Our dinner got off to a rough start when 25 mins went by when they informed us they didn't have our wine. This was annoying but the meal turned into an all time Top 5 dining experience. Service was absolutely spectacular and every drop of...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty

I would think a collared shirt and dress shorts should be OK. You should strongly consider adding shoes to the mix, too. :)

Yes, not well set up for children and very busy bar. This is a dressy high end establishment. I would try someplace else.

Description
Serving Lunch on Fridays, Dinner nightly and Sunday Jazz Brunch. Restaurant R'evolution is the first joint venture of award-winning Chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chefs' interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as "the swamp floor pantry." Tableside service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying. Soups such as Creole Louisiana Snapping Turtle Soup and Death by Gumbo play on unusual presentations of these traditional dishes that date back centuries. Desserts showcase classical New Orleans sweets done in a new and contemporary way.
