Had a great meal for all ages even the youngest (5yrs). Enjoyed every moment. The service was great (even though they mentioned they were a bit short staffed, the food was fantastic!

I ordered two kids meals and a shrimp Poboy. First off the kids meals do not come with a drink. So the 10 dollar kids meal you have to add a 2.50 drink. My shrimp poboy came with no sides and for 17 dollars is ridiculous. The poboy had absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. I was very dissaponted in my meal.... More

First of all this is New Orleans so you already know the food is full of fun and flavor. But not only was the food delicious the service was impeccable. Our waitress Linda was amazing and made us feel right at home. She gave great suggestions from the menu that we took and we were not disappointed. If you're looking... More

Food was OK but we spent almost $100 for the two of us and noticed an 18% gratuity was included on our bill. We normally tip well but we like it to be OUR choice. When we asked our waiter/manager, John C, (who we had to chase down in his office just to GET our bill) if it was mandatory,... More

Our waiter could never be found- or if we found him- he was talking to another waiter. Should know if lots of empty tables on Saturday night- there is s REASON. Chicken Gumbo was not served hot- not warm. Bland. Cannot imagine how it got the high ratings. Don't waste you time or money. My husbands jambalaya was tomato flavored... More

No lines, no wait. Ordered two cups of seafood gumbo. We were disappointed for the two cups seeing that this restaurant was on our must visit again list while in New Orleans. The gumbo had more broth than seafood, the waitress was slow and the two cups were slow coming out. I asked for some bread. The waitress brought out... More

We went on our first day in New Orleans. Our hotel wasn't ready, we were hungry, so we stopped here in the French Market because it was close. Mistake. The food was just ok, but WAY overpriced. You pay for the area (on Decatur). I ordered Shrimp Po Boy, $15.95. It did not come with anything. Fries would be another... More

We ate here for breakfast before leaving for a Cemetery tour. Big mistake; it was ridiculously expensive for only 3 people, $60+. The food was bland, bordering on 'odd' and gave us cause to wonder if we would feel nauseous after eating there. The waiter was a very serious man with a tattoo and made us feel uneasy while taking... More

I know good gumbo, like at Mothers, but decided to give this place a shot based on reviews. Bland and spicy seafood gumbo, andso disappointing. The service was terrible. I had 2 sips from a $4 cup of coffee and told the manager how bad it tasted. Her response was that I wouldn't find a cup for less- obviously, she... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
