Live the gumbo pot! Always get the combination and it’s delicious! Their gumbo is the best. Love the outdoor seating. Great location too!

A local recommend this place. It was a short wait to be seated our waiter Michael was wonderful. He recommended dishes and brought samples. He also treated us with a small bowl of bread pudding. The chicken gunbo was amazing as was everything else. I...More

The famous Gumbo Pot lives up to its name. The Gumbo here is great, full of flavor and definitely filling. The service was great and the outside patio atmosphere was great as well. This place was definitely one of the highlights of our New Orleans...More

This was an impromtu stop for late dinner. We sat outside. We had the pasta Jambalaya which was delicious with the right amount spice. After reading the reviews, I guess this place is a hit or miss. We were lucky.

We ate meat ball Poy Boy and some crispy fried fish at the Gumbo Pot. Both were good with ample servings, and masses of fries & other accompaniments. A highly filling satisfactory lunch.

When we arrived, we noticed that the restaurant was almost empty. Upon first greeting, the host let us know that they DON'T serve alcohol. No problem for us. Prices were a bit higher than most places we had eaten in the French Quarter area. We...More

You can get gumbo everywhere in New Orleans and we tasted it in many restaurants. But none could compare to the gumbo in this nice little restaurant. Situated right on Decatur in the French Quarter it looks from the outside almost like a fast food...More

The best feature of this restaurant is the location. It's easy to reach and easy to find. However, we should have kept walking when the M'tare'd informed us that they no longer served alcohol. The setup was nice, but the place was empty. The food...More
