The interior decorating with the lighted bottles drew us in. We only had dessert as we had already eaten dinner. Nice atmosphere but not NOLA looking. Dessert was very good. We had a chocolate dessert that i don't see on the online menu. It was very good. It was delivered almost frozen so needed to wait a few minutes for... More

Seeing as I was in New Orleans for business, and was out and about the town on my own, I opted to sit at the bar to enjoy my SoBou experience. I came to the restaurant due to a suggestion by one of my friends, and it did not disappoint. The bartender was very helpful and had great customer service.... More

We had great meals and service at SoBou. Stayed at the W FrenchQuarter over Thanksgiving and really enjoyed the staff and service and food at SoBou. Had a fantastic Turkey thanksgiving meal that really satisfied our turkey craving.

My wife and I read excellent reviews about Sobou and made reservations for our lunch when arrived in New Orleans. We were seated immediately and our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Sobou is part of the Commander's Palace family of restaurants. We were given bells to wear when we were seated which was a nice little touch. They have... More

Ate here couple times for breakfast. Ordered Oatmeal and not very good. Very small bowl and tasted like instant. $12 bill was too pricey for my oatmeal. Others ordered eggs and things. Not the best for breakfast.

I'm writing this in two parts as I used the bar and the restaurant. The restaurant id heard was good. It wasn't, it was ok, like the same OKAY that your girlfriend tells you she is after a massive argument. The 'famous' fois gras burger I'll remember but not for the right reasons but for how utterly unremarkable it was.... More

We had a lovely meal at Sobou while in New Orleans for Thanksgiving holiday. Very sexy atmosphere and great food. You must start with the sweet potato beignets...simply divine! We also ordered the pickled okra Boudin balls and they were also tasty. I had the lemon basil poached geaux drum fish and it was delicious. My son had the ribeye... More

Good breakfast, good lunch. Personnel is extremely polite and hospitable. A very good and quick expresso compensates for the overall slow pace of things.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
