I ordered a coffee and beignets! The coffee was good and the beignets came out hot and fresh, covered in powdered sugar! They were delicious! They were very similar to what we call fried dough in the north! I would definitely return here on my...More

Warm, swimming in an avalanche of powdered sugar! That's the best way to eat this wonderful puffy pillow of goodness!

If you want beignets and coffee, and other places are crowded, this will do. The coffee was hot, and the beignets tasty. But there are other places we preferred in New Orleans. Still, service was quick and friendly, and there are spots to sit away...More

We tried to get into the Cafe Demond but the line to get in door was half a block long and not moving... So we went about four blocks away to the New Orleans Famous Beignets! Wonderful beignets and great Chickory Coffee. Not crowded but...More

The line was long but we had heard you must try the Beignets while in NOLA. They were freshly made and absolutely delish; very messy but the powdered sugar is what makes it special. Great snack in between our touristy adventures!

I got a caramel coffee au lait and an almond croissant. They were both good, but not anything to write home about.

To me, this place was sooo much better than Cafe Du Monde. The beignets were bigger and better. Cafe au lait is wonderful! The building is beautiful inside with plenty of tables, a bar and live music. Would totally recommend and try this place out!

I actually liked this better than Cafe Du Monde aside from the summer flies buzzing around (they mostly just hung out on the mirror and never actually got into or onto the food). The set-up is a lot less cramped, the staff is way nicer,...More

No matter what time of day you must stop by and have these Beignets with Hot Coffee, iced coffee, or frozen coffee! A must-do in New Orleans.

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living

They closed on May 7. It says it on their Facebook page. So sad. :( They were my favorite.
