Food was excellent. I had a VERY tender 9 oz. filet and my wife had a strip steak. While I found my steak to be delicious, she thought her strip steak was only average. I had turtle soup (good), she had baked oysters (Excellent). Dinner for two including 1 vodka & tonic and 3 glasses of house wine = $250.... More

Reservations needed as very popular. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Timing was perfect. Our party of 11 was seated upstairs. The oysters were my best ever. We shared several appetizers all were delicious. All main courses were raved about.

Emeril's definitely lives up to their reputation for delicious dinners. This was our special dinner during our vacation, and it did not disappoint. We each ordered the 6 oz filet. It was on the menu that night as a Filet Oscar, and it was outstanding. It was topped with crabmeat and a Bearnaise sauce that one person in our group... More

Food was excellent. Boudin balls were fabulous. Gumbo was very good. Creole shrimp was better than expected. Try the bananas foster. Impressive. Loud drunk table next to us cussing and discussing strippers was a disappointment.

Great food and drink, from the beginning of the meal to the end. The menu is more limited in scope and range than I expected, but all of our selections were excellent and the service was great. And the kitchen accommodated my son with a simple chicken and macaroni dish. Please, be sure to start with the calamari, the best... More

we had ridden by these several times on the streetcar and decided to have a late dinner here this week. We were able to get in about 8:30. Our server was Kevin and he could not have done a better job. He was friendly but not over the top schmoozie, he got our order right the first time, and when... More

We enjoyed a nice dinner here. We ordered chicken and steaks. I was disappointed to have my medium filet come to me quite rare. My husband also ordered a medium filet and it was served perfectly medium. The server offered me some turtle soup while my steak was cooked some more. It was better, but still not really medium. The... More

My wife and I were in town for quick weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Made a reservation for 7:00 at Delmonico for two. The restaurant prices itself as upper end but we might has well dined at the Golden Corral. Despite few tables in use downstairs, the hostess seated us upstairs in the front dining room. Half the tables were... More

We enjoyed one of the best meals and the best service I have ever had. Please, do yourself a favour and go to this restaurant. And while you are there, please tell Fransisco, the Captain of the servers that Debbie and Catherine from Canada say hello! What a great man, and he resumes dogs too! The food was absolutely divine.... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
