I convinced my mom to stop in here so we could take a look at the séance upstairs, and the ghost table. We loved the atmosphere so much, that we decided to have a piece of their flourless chocolate cake (served with creme anglaise and...More

My friends had their rehearsal dinner here before their wedding so we had a bit of a different dinning experience than probably most here. We got to enter in their side entrance, which was awesome because we got to walk right by the table set...More

In December I visited this place twice, service is awesome, setting is great and yes you can reserve the Ghost Table. Even the back bar is a great place to hang out. If you are in NOLA make it a point to visit Muriel"s.

We loved the food at Muriel's! The restaurant itself is beautiful - although quite noisy for those who are sensitive. Each of appetizers and main courses were fabulous. Service was wonderful and attentive.

We booked Muriel's in advance on our first night (of five) in NOLA. What we didn't realise is that it is located right in the middle of the most 'touristy' part of the French Quarter. We were not impressed; there was a definite feel that...More

Had 2 fantastic meals at Muriels. Very warm and friendly restaurant, with very friendly staff. The service is rather slow but the atmosphere inside the restaurant is very good.

On our second trip to New Orleans, this was one of the most memorable meals. We stopped by for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. We started with the Shrimp and Goat Cheese Crepes - they were absolutely to die for and a must order. For...More

An easy place to find. Beautiful building. Extremely clean rest rooms. My only issue was the roasted vegetable pot pie, although tasty, was not roast veggies instead it was steamed veg in a sauce with puff pastry. Yummy but not what I expected. My husband...More

We had a great brunch. The energy, the vibe and the hospitality made this a great Easter. My lamb was amazing. My partners steak however, not so much. He didn’t send it back, which is on him. But he ordered Med Rare, and it came...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living

around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Not sure if there is any formal code, but my party did not wear sports coats or ties, but did wear collared shirts and long pants. I did however observe another diner wearing a t-shirt.

Pretty lax, I would recommend at least a collared shirt or a button down (no sneakers) for a man, something nice, dress, or classy jeans and top for a women, no flip flops.

The Bistro at Muriel’s Jackson Square offers New Orleans classics like Gumbo, BBQ Shrimp, Oysters "Muriel", Turtle soup, Fried Gulf Shrimp Po-boy, Crabmeat Imperial, Shrimp Remoulade & contemporary Creole cuisine like Pecan Crusted Drum & Wood Grilled Tuna while the Courtyard Bar is the perfect place to drop by for drinks & appetizers. The Séance Lounge is the place for a relaxed, comfortable meeting before or after dining. Comprised of two areas, The Outer & The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic & checkered past. The Outer Séance addresses the New Orleans era of Storyville & when Muriel's Jackson Square was one of the French Quarter's best bordellos! The Inner Séance is the preferred domain of the resident ghost, Pierre Antoine Lepardi Jourdan, & is the perfect spot for an intimate conversation & a drink amongst its plush surroundings.
