Our dinner at Herbsaint was good. The service was good. The food was good. The price was expensive. Overall, we had no complaints, but there wasn’t anything exceptional either.

So we came to New Orleans and we had already experienced Bourbon Street and Frenchman Street, and the Steamboat dinner cruise and I just wanted to eat at a nice restaurant. Unfortunately, my husband did not pack a dinner jacket so some of the super...More

We followed the recommendation of some site and walked quite far to reach this place; but it was closed, because of Sunday. This place may have good food; but need to open daily, if it wants business in this tourist town. (My 3 stars are...More

Off the beaten path in New Orleans but so worth it. Cocktails, food and service were all excellent in a small, charming old-house restaurant, with well-spaced tables for quiet conversation. Recommend the gumbo and goat (!). Definitely reserve in advance.

Herbsaint is always a must for us on our visits to NOLA. The atmosphere is jolly and the room is lovely. The appetizer oysters and sauce were liked by everyone. The pompano special was pan fried perfectly and the accompaniments were delicious. Likewise the steak...More

We have been going to this place for years. It never disappoints. Fantastic restaurant with great flavors and new style New Orleans cuisine. It is more of a contemporary cuisine than old style in that it is a little less heavy but with all the...More

Visited Herbsaint with my husband and another couple. We all loved the cocktails, the food, and the service. The duck rillette is life-changing. Such a great way to start our NOLA vacation.

Great food, great service....absolutely top-notch restaurant with a wonderful vibe. This perennial James Beard best chef nominee knows what he's doing, as do his cohorts. Here was our (4 of us) list of favorites and our overall opionion Arugula with Champagne-Walnut Vinaigrette and Pickled Shallots...More

We started with great cocktails. Cornmeal fried oyster had just the right amount of breading and crunch. Spaghetti with guanciale and fried boiled eggs was so delicious that all six of us wanted more. Cranberry bean spread was just okay since bread was soggy and...More

I try to eat here every time I am in NOLA. This restaurant continues to hit on all cylinders. We came here on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was packed. Reservations are essential. The food if simple but extremely flavorful and presented in a...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
