We were looking forward to dinner here, and it wasn't bad, but also not up to expectations. The atmosphere is formal, to the extent none of the staff were smiling or welcoming and customers didn't look like they were relaxed or having a good time....More

We were most looking forward to the Galatoire’s experience on our recent eating vacation. Not only did its reputation as a “must do” precedent, but it had come highly recommended by others. What a bad experience. Our waiter seemed to make up his mind that...More

Galatoire's is much more than the menu. Arnaud's, Antoine's, Tujague's are "food museums" of sorts. They hold the essential roots of the culture of dining in New Orleans. Word of advice... Don't bother with the menu here. Ask the server what is good on the...More

I have been to the restaurant numerous times over the past 20 years and it has always been a good experience but the last time was a disappointment. Our server was experienced, very helpful and flexible but not attentive enough as we had long waits...More

It started off well. My second trip to New Orleans, and we wanted a classic spot. I believe we found the restaurant on the eater website. I was glad that we could get a table without a reservation, at last minute notice. The restaurant requires...More

My first time there, my husband's 2nd. We knew about the jacket requirement, so we were dressed appropriately as per the 'dress code'. The food was very good overall. The service was good. There was a mixup with the server. I had planned on ordering...More

I went to NOLA for a wedding and most guests gathered at this restaurant the next day for brunch before heading to a parade. Great food. I loved the stuffed eggplant and the bread pudding with caramelized bananas was to die for. Good pick Javier...More

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs
across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied
around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the
