Personally I, nor the wife, found it as good as it was pre-Katrina. We used to go quite regularly since we both work in the vicinity, (now live out of state), but something has changed, so we probably won't be going back.

Based on the Trip Advisor reviews, we went on a Sunday night and, despite a large crowd waiting (they take reservations only for parties of 6 or more) we were seated within 10 minutes. Unfortunately, that and the excellent service we received, were the best...More

Recommend by a local cab journey from French quarter but well worth it as a Brit we had to try the turtle soup. Mains was fried shrimp with fries enough for two. Great food and great prices

Just sayin'! Shouldn't be spaghetti on the front photo...I'm sure it's good but they're shrimp Poh-Boys, shrimp remoulade and turtle soup is the best ever! Beautiful flavor of New Orleans. Should be on your list 😊

I have been going to mandina's since I was in high school. The food has always been fabulous. It is an easy streetcar away from the French quarter! The grilled shrimp Poboys and seafood gumbo are phenomenal.

If you are looking for fresh, fresh seafood with an atmosphere filled with local characters, this is the place to go. Fried soft shell crab - yum! Messy (the best kind) poboys - yum! Monday's red bean and rice - yum! You won't find cliche-style...More

Visited on a Sunday night, which was moderately busy, but no line waiting to get in. Food was as expected - good, not really exceptional, but worth a visit to this neighborhood favorite. The service left much to be desired. It seemed that the server...More
