We visited for lunch on a Monday after a walking tour. The waitstaff made us feel very welcome eventhough we were quite casually dressed. Staff was very friendly and spent time speaking with us. Very nice authentic New Orleans Atmosphere and a wonderful building with many artifacts, and photos and enjoy. We both had selections off the 2017 winter lunch... More

We are here our first night in New Orleans, and our waitress made the experience memorable. Thanks to Shalacie and her helper Kreg. We loved our evening with you.

The food is that good and you are dining in a restuarent that have been serving great food since 1840. Still in the family after serving meals during the Civil War, (think about that) WW1. and WW2, The walls say it all and the food tells you that they learned long ago how to make you smile.....You need to go... Four friends stopped here for drinks after a late lunch. The restaurant is located half a block off Bourbon Street, and those few steps make all the difference in the world in decibels. Conversation doesn't have to be at shouting volume. The fireplace warmed the pub area nicely on a very chilly afternoon. We were delighted to learn that we'd... More

From the time you walk in the door they make your visit special. Very friendly staff that is willing to answer your questions and provide suggestions if needed. I had the lunch special with the best oysters, soft shell crab and bead pudding. I was not disappointed with my choice. After our meal we walked around and looked at all... More

We arrived at this restaurant only find that they could not find our reservations (we were not the only ones). Then we get sat right in the way of all the staff going back and forth. The food was disappointing. It was just ok. My husband had the steak and I had their Valentines menu which included from which I... More

The ultimate New Orleans experience! This is the longest, continuous serving restaurant in the country. It is now in its fifth generation of family ownership. The food is exceptional and the wait staff is well trained to make your dining experience perfect. Fresh seafood and wonderful french dishes are always well prepared.

Decided to go to Antoine's upon learning that Amelia's was closed on Monday evenings and was sure glad we did. Service was pretty good, our server was a bit hard of hearing so it was a bit of a challenge however he was so delightful and knowledgeable. We had several appetizers as well as each having a tenderloin and the... More

This place is an historical institution...and the creator of Oysters Rockefeller...I had grilled pompano Pontchartain with potatoes au gratin. It was fabulous. The coffee after the meal was strong and full bodied. Make sure to ask for the tour of the dining rooms after your meal. The wait staff has their own clientele and are extremely attentive, hence the loyalty.... More

The restaurant was beautiful and the food and service only made the experience better. The staff was very knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant and it's food. The oysters Rockefeller were great and the potato soufflé was amazing with the bernaise sauce! The veal was to die for!!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
