I've been coming to NOLA for 23 years, typically twice a year, and this is my first time to eat at Cafe Adelaide. Hostess: Walking in Brittany is very welcoming and she has a good sense of humor. Server: Dereck is sweet but I waited a good bit for a heat up on my coffee. As I watch him, I... More

We were here for breakfast on Mother's Day and enjoyed a well prepared breakfast very and fine service. There were four in our party and we all had a very good breakfast.

Had lunch and sunday brunch - great menu & you can't go wrong with any of the appetizers or entrees. Great wine list & several beers on draft.

The bartender and barmaid were not very friendly. I felt like I was inconveniencing them when asking for service. I even asked one of them if there was a problem because he appeared to have gotten upset when I ordered a drink and didn't start a tab but then ordered fries and he wanted me to pay first. All he... Decided to stay in for a business dinner at Loew's on a rainy evening which was a big mistake. While the hotel is lovely with good service and the bar is also good, the restaurant is an exception. There were only a few tables occupied but the service was incredibly slow, almost two hours from start to finish. Very long... More

I ate breakfast and lunch here, and recommend it highly. The servers were invariably attentive and friendly, and the food was well prepared. The coffee was especially good at breakfast, and they had a gluten free muffin at breakfast each done. The grits were creamy, maybe the best I've ever had, and I'm from the south!

A large traveling group and I had dinner at Cafe Adelaide, and enjoyed the best meal of our whole trip. Not only was the food cooked to perfection, but the service was the best I believe I have ever experienced.

We stopped here midweek for the 25 cent martini lunch. Our table had the appletini and the classic martini both of which were good. The turtle soup with sherry was excellent.

Three business colleagues and I had lunch at a Cafe Adelaide (which is about one-half a mile from the Hyatt Convention Center). The starters and mains were gorgeous and delicious. One person ordered the fixed price two course meal, but everyone else ordered off the menu. Service was great with 4 mains being served simultaneously by three servers. The turtle... More

Our server was fantastic! Such a nice young man....and gave us great menu tips. Food? Exceptional. Cocktails? Best in NOLA. Ambiance? Comfortable and chic. I have nothing but positive things to say of this establishment.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
