At the time I went, there was a bit of a line, but man, it was so worth it! I had the surf and turf. It is messy to eat, but man! Would eat this every time I'm in town! Also, if you get a chance try the boot, its a nice local beer and very good. Just let the... More

Went to Parkway for the first time on a Sunday for happy Hour. Not only were the drinks great but the food was awesome. Shared a shrimp poboy and gravy debris fries. The shrimp were large and plentiful. I have had many poboys all over Nola and this has been the best! We also tried the shot of the month... More

Best po-boy sandwiches in New Orleans and probably all of Louisiana. President Obama has eaten here in the past. Family owned and operated for over 100 years. Free parking is plentiful.

I ordered the Parkway surf and turf, which is their roast beef and thin gravy with fried shrimp. Very hard to eat though, falls apart. Wife ordered the meatball sub, she said it was OK.

On my recent trip to New Orleans, I was most excited to get a Po-Boy at Parkway Bakery & Tavern. I walked here from City Park, after exploring some of the graveyards and found myself at the end of a rather long line. I went on New Years Eve, so I do not know if the wait is usually long,... More

Went here based on TA and other recos and was not disappointed. It was a Wednesday at noon and was braced for crowds, but we got a high top right in the bar area. Mike was very attentive as he took our orders and even made recos for non-touristy things to do in NOLA. We had the shrimp, oyster (only... More

Maybe I live too far north to be an expert on po-Boys but I didn't find this place amazing or all that good. I have had better po-boys at other places inside and outside of New Orleans. The po-boy I ordered was a shrimp po-boy. The best part about the po-boy was the bread but I found the shrimp not... More

The fried shrimp poor boy was delicious as were the fried pickles. The sandwiches are big enough you can share them. Parkway should be on everyone's itinerary when visiting New Orleans!

Good selection of excellent po-boys ... although I guess I always get the roast beef (but other po-boys are good as well) and a Barqs in the bottle. Sloppy, juicy, flavorful. Bread usually totally soaked and mushy by the time I'm done, but I guess that's the way it's supposed to be. A New Orleans classic.

My family and I have been to parkway twice now and it's pretty good. The wait can be a bit extreme at times, but it's worth it. The debris gravy fries are a must! If you enjoy a cocktail or two try the pimm's for something different and good. The bloody many is a good one too!
