This restaurant is a little out of the way on the edge of the French Quarter. It is in a great old building that is repurposed very nicely. We had an Fried Oyster pizza as an appetizer and it was great. Thin NYC type crust with lots of toppings and 7-9 oysters. For dinner I had the lasagna and my... More

Probably one of our best value for quality meals of our whole week in NOLA. Also, a very nice and relaxed environment to eat in and our two kids (1 and 4 yo) were welcome (although no kids menu, we shared one pasta dish between them though that really was more than enough). We had a couple of fried calamari... More

We had a roasted garlic pizza, which also came with sundries tomatoes and spinach. It was nice to have the option of vegan cheese. Delicious! The raspberry sorbet was good as well.

This area of the Quarter ranges from gritty to elegant. The Louisiana Pizza Kitchen serves hot delicious pizza and a variety of cold beer in modern casual surroundings. We ate on the sidewalk across from the old mint on a quiet weekday night. Prompt service brought perfectly baked pizza and calzones for around $12-15 each suitable for hungry men. Enjoy... More

All that Cajun and Creole food is great but sometimes a guy just needs some pizza. We went in here with low expectations thinking pizza was not in the wheelhouse for cooks in this area but were plenty surprised. Their pizza was really good.

I stopped in Sunday for a dinner. There was no wait for a Sunday night. I'm not sure if it's normally that uncrowded or if it's because it was during the Super Bowl. I was seated right away and the servers were friendly. I ordered the shrimp and crab pizza. I was pleased with the pizza, but not sure if... More

We visited the Louisiana Pizza Kitchen five years ago when we were in New Orleans. We were glad to see it was still there five years later and stopped in for lunch. They have excellent thin crust pizzas, generous salads, and a fabulous beer selection. Our server was friendly and helpful. I give this place my own "certificate of excellence"... More

we came here for dinner and were not too impressed with the food. the location is great, right across the french market, near frenchmen street, but the quality of food was just ok. we ordered a roasted garlic pizza and grilled eggplant pizza - both were subpar. the eggplants were undercooked and large pieces. paying $15 for a personal pizza... I was so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Usually when a restaurant offers vegan options its very mininal. They had vegan cheese for the pizza. They also offer an amazing vegan chicken ceasar salad. Also had some amazin cocktails. They wait service is exceptionally friendly and knowledgable. I will long remember this place as having the best vegan pizza I... More

Looked forward to our first dinner in NOLA for this weekend with friends and family. Picked it because of the vegetarian and vegan options that were available. Garlic bread and artichokes, fabulous. Calzones and pizza, excellent. Drinks and Po-boy, great! Service, however, was the pits. We had a big party of 15, to be fair. But we sat as two... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
