This is absolutely, positively a must visit when in the Quarter. This is easily in my top 3. The genius is in the simplicity - they offer some amazing burgers but instead of fries, they come with loaded baked potatoes. This is an incredible concept...people. The wait can be a bit much at times but the food is well worth it. Their specialty drinks are very good as well. I recommend the Monsoon. No forced gratuities help make the service a great experience. Try this place and you will find it will be your favorite as well.More

No I am a local and have been coming here since the early 90’s and it just gets worse. Out of town visitors want to come here because they believe the hype. Hostess upset because I wanted to sit inside the bar instead on porch...addition. Mushroom burger was dry instead of the mushroom sauce they usually put over it and side salad swam in dressing. Burgers now are about $16.50. If you get the potato you pay extra for cheese, sour cream, etc. Hostess probably thought I was a tourist and they could get away with rude behavior and bad meal. When they do offer bacon burgers they use bacon bits, even McDonalds and Rally’s offer real bacon. They seem to cater to tourist trade. Awful meal!More

This is a hole in the wall that you will be glad you tried. It had excellent food and the drinks were amazing. It feels as though you stepped back in time when you go in but you quickly find it charming.

Burgers were just ok. Baked potatoes were great. Staff was more interested in their phones than customer service. We told them it was our first time. No one made us feel welcomed. We had to ask for our bill since they were all busy on...their phones.More

We were staying in a Airbnb in Marigny and the hosts had left a message saying- best burger you will ever have and get the Monsoon- don't ask questions- just get a Monsoon. So, of course, we walked over to Port of Call to get...a burger and Monsoon! It was crowded and there were 3 seats at the bar (for four of us) The bartender was super rude and said she couldn't serve us drinks unless we had four seats (in NOLA?!?) but the manager was super helpful and moved a seat over to make it work for us. We shared a burger and ordered four Monsoons. Whoa. That's a sweet (and strong!) drink. The burger was DELICIOUS. We loved the tiki bar (ish) vibe. Too bad the service wasn't great or we would've given it five stars. We went back the next day for a (half) Monsoon and another burger and had the SAME server. Bummer. But we will try again next time!!More

Fantastic food and staff. The staff went above and beyond. The burgers taste wonderful and are huge. Port of Call was the only place in New Orleans that does not water down there drinks. They take care of there customers.

I didn't make it here on my first trip to Nola so I'm glad I got here this time. It was a good burger. It wasn't the best I ever had but very good. The baked potato was also very good. There's virtually no atmosphere...but the service is good. It's just a cool locals place.More

Very limited menu. It is a burger place but they do not offer a bacon burger or vegan burger option. Offers baked potato but no fries. Drinks were sugary and premade. Bathroom was filthy and smelly. Will not return.

One of the BEST burger I have ever eaten! We were recommended this place by someone we made friends with on a night out in New Orleans - so one night when we were wandering round trying to decide where to go we headed to...Port of Call. It's a VERY busy spot so be prepared to wait. We got a seat at the bar to grab some cocktails before we sat down for dinner and ordered a Port of Call - which was delicious and we also had Red Turtles during the meal We all had a burger and baked potatoes which were devine! Would 100% recommend this spotMore

This will be quick because the last few reviews hit the nail on the head. We stopped in a little early in evening as we were walking back to our Airbnb. We had passed it coming and going into the French Quarter on foot many...times in the previous days. Felt like a good time to stop. Wasn’t let down by the cooked to order burgers and simple baked potatoes off the simple and concise menu. Looks like people were enjoying the bar. Simple decor and friendly servers. Our drinks (sodas) came in a large souvenir cup and we were all glad we made the stop.More

This is a place that is on the east end of the French Quarter and it is well worth the walk. It is a little dive bar with a cheesy but great nautical theme, but you aren't here for the drinks, you are here for...the amazing burger. It is awesome. The menu is simple, steak or burger. The burgers are cheese or not, mushrooms or not, and you get a baked potato. Get it plain or loaded. That's your choices and there do not need be any more, because you want that burger and they will really cook it how you want. We had ours medium and they were perfect. I went for the mushroom cheeseburger. If you are good with tiki drinks with a lot of sugar, have one. If not, have a decent (but not fancy) beer or whiskey, etc. This place is excellent and needs to be on your "don't miss" list.More

I don’t think so. Because it is a kind of bar we almost don’t see children but I heard they can get in.
