Enjoyed as usual. I have been going here for years. Only reason it's not a 5 is that it has seem to slip a little bit and it's food quality but that's comparing it to itself. It's still my favorite compared to all other restaurants. Very consistent and enjoyable.

Five Happiness is one of those restaurants that you know when you go thee the food is going to be the same as it has been for the last 30 years that you have eaten here!! It's good! The egg rolls are different than everyone else and they are really good!! The Sizzling Go-Bais fantastic!! I really enjoy going to... More

I always love coming to Five Happiness! Having grown up in Asia, I appreciate real, authentic, family-run restaurants. The food was very good and the service was also good! A little updating with some style and bright colors would make this restaurant shine. Some good music and liveliness as well as new decor would definitely make this restaurant stand out.... More

I used to go to this restaurant monthly since the late nineties but is the last two years the quality is going down and the prices up. There are better Asian food at the Westbank or Uptown.

Food is pretty good! I have tried the beef with broccoli and chicken with vegetables. The egg rolls were a little on the greasy side, and upset my stomach. Overall good is pretty good! Authentic

Who was cold food was cold and tasteless. Told the waiter and he did nothing about it. Even the crowd seem lighter than usual very unusual for fivehappiness

After recently having a couple of mediocre meals at the restaurant and two terrible meals delivered I think I am finished with this place. Greasy and bland entrees, flaccid dumplings swimming in oil, wilted wontons, etc. etc.. Wish we had more Chinese dining options here in Nola. Seems to be a little better if you dine in than order out... More

Went here at an odd time of the day but luckily the lunch specials ran until 4:00. Every meals comes with wonton strips & dipping sauce to enjoy before the meal arrives. Each meal comes with soup -I got wonton soup. It had s good flavor. My main dish was chicken, mushroom & pea pod with fried rice. It was... More

Some people call this THE BEST Chinese food in New Orleans and boy are they wrong. All the food came out lukewarm and greasy. The San Shin Soup for 2 was lacking in flavor, the egg rolls were 99% cabbage, the ribs were tough, and the crab rangoon was one big lump of cream cheese. Since the appetizers were so... More

Was disappointed that service was lackluster and the food wasn't exceptional either. The server had difficulty explaining the daily specials when asked and said that it's the same everyday. The server dropped the food and never followed up with us and had to hunt him down to pay the bill. My husband enjoyed the sweet & sour, my garlic shrimp... More
