Went there Tuesday Jan 16, 2018 the place was a nice big room most likely an old warehouse. Had the crawfish étouffée big letdown, got the large order consisted of a scoop of white rice some bits of crawfish in a soupy muck.

Ok, I realize it's New Orleans and it's a tourist town. That being said, $11 for a short mint julep and 46.25 for a bottle of beer is RIDICULOUS. To top off the high price, the waitress (loved her) was not able to bring the...More

There is a difference between New Orleans food and Cajun food, and Mulates serves Cajun food. Well prepared, good spices. On this trip I had the fried oysters which were well breaded, not too little, not too much, and fried to perfection. Drank a Sazerac,...More

Had lunch at the bar here and had a great seafood gumbo. We returned for dinner and on the waiter's recommendation had the redfish which was mediocre at best. The waiter asked us if we wanted dessert halfway through dinner to which we said maybe...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

Any of the above but you might want to do appetizers with drinks. Most people will have dinner then stay for The evening to watch the dancing.
